I remember shortly after the cup win in 1993, driving by city hall in Laval on my way to the mall and noticed the Canadiens were there..
Was with my older brother and his gf (both 17ish at the time) and demanded them to pull over.
Went inside, snuck inside a media room where players were being interviewed, asked Denis Savard for a pen and he nearly threatened me if I didn't give it back... What a doosh that guy. Mostly local players were there if memory serves me right...
I then snuck upstairs where they had the cup hoisted on a table, first time seeing it up close and touching it.
Anyone have any recollection of this Laval City Hall thing I'm talking about?

1944, 1946, 1953, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959,1960, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1986, 1993. That's twenty. The first two I was quite young and not following the Habs yet. I reemeber the 1953 Cup very well.
That's amazing. I mean, it's amazing that you can still remember anything.
I'm just kidding, I'm unbelievably jealous you got to see Rocket, Beliveau, Geoffrion, Harvey, Plante, Bouchard, Moore, Pocket, Cournoyer, the Mahovlichs, Lafleur, Dryden, Robinson, Savard, Lapointe, Shutt, Lemaire and Gainey.
I only got to see Roy, and I don't even remember 86'. But '93 was a dream. It's the reason I do things like go on this board most days. Are you on here very much?
1986 and 1993, I don't remeber the '86 cup but I remember people honking in the street in 1993 (I was 11). I didn't really follow hockey back then. I actually started following when the Habs were at the all time worse. late 1990's.
