uOttawa Gee-Gees coach Dave Leger will not be back behing the bench next year for the Gee-Gees. His contract will not be renewed has the head coach & general manager of the men's hockey program.
As for the recruiting process, I've heard a few names here & there but nothing has been confirmed. With the change behing the bench for the Gee-Gees, the recruting process isn't going to be as efficient as it would've been with Leger.
We are still waiting for the new coach to be named here in Ottawa. Therefore, we will be able to give you a few recruits for the Gee-Gees.
Defenceman Kyle Aschim who played for the Victoria Grizzles (BCHL) has committed to the Saskatchewan Huskies..
Defenceman Mark Corbett who played for the Oakville Blades (OJHL) has committed to the Ryerson Rams.
Goalie Daniel Savelli who also played for the Oakville Blades (OJHL) has committed to the Windsor Lancers.

The U of Regina Cougars have landed a couple of former WHLers in D Mark Schneider (Kamloops, Brandon, Regina, 2006-10) and G Andrew Hayes (Brandon, 2007-10). Hayes played this season with the QMJHL’s Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. . . .
Defenseman Pat Moran (OJHL Aurora Tigers) commits to UOIT.
Forward Troy Barss (OJHL Peterborough Stars) commits to York.
Defenseman Jason Yee (BCHL Powell River Kings) commits to UBC.
Two more AJHL players commit to York, Perron from Grande Prairie and Forfar from Lloydminster. Rumor has it a number of the Alberta boys who committed to York last season have quit and are not returning due to the bantam level coaching.
UQTR Pats have announced their recruting class of 2011 yesterday.
I had already announced Tommy Tremblay (Gatineau) and Felix Lefrançois (Rimouski), but here are the others.
Mathieu Asselin (Granby JAAA)
Charles Betty (Halifax)
Nicolas Chouinard (Montreal)
Bruno-Pier Courchesne (Proctor Academy)
Simon Ferland-Chapdelaine (Joliette JAAA)
Guillaume Goulet (Victoriaville)
Maxime Gravel (Baie-Comeau)
Olivier Hotte (Acadie-Bathurst)
Billy Lacasse (Chicoutimi)
Olivier Ouellet (Valleyfield JAAA)
Kevin Robert (Ste-Agathe JAAA)
Karel St-Laurent (Surrey BCHL)
Alexandre Touchette (Val D'Or)
And they're still working on getting Francis Meilleur from Montreal.
Gotta say, that's one hell of a recruiting class. They had 7 players leaving, but they've picked up much more than that. There's (finally) going to be some challenge for the players at training camp.
As for St-Laurent, he might have a tryout with the Canucks, but if that doesn't work out, he's heading to UQTR. If he doesn't... they're in big trouble. Lamontagne is an ok goalkeeper, but I don't see him as a starter.
Is there a link for these rumours? I'd be interested in reading more.
Quick edit: If it no longer applies to recruiting maybe start a new thread as well.
Having looked at the roster, the only players I can see from Alberta who did not play the majority of the season were Jordan Draper (10 games with 1 assist) and Nate Fleming (8 games, 1 goal and 2 assists). With the number of points he scored in Jr A, I had expected Draper to be one of York's better players. It will be interesting to see where they end up, as well as whether or not their other Alberta players (which seem to be quite a bit of the team) will return if there are potential issues.

That is indeed a very strong recruiting class. 9 full time regulars from the Q, plus some Jr A players with major junior experience. Maybe this year UQTR can have something to say about first place in the OUA East.
Indeed, but McGill are gonna be as strong as last year. They didn't lose a lot of players from that canadian finalist team. I still see them at number one, especially since it might take a bit of time to bond together for the Patriots with such a different core.

There will be two additional players not returning for sure plus a possible third. Stayed tuned and check their roster come fall.
