COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Joey MacDonald will be in goal tonight for the Detroit Red Wings, when they look to extend their three-game winning streak against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena (7 p.m., FSD).
MacDonald, recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday, two days after he had been sent down, is filling in for Chris Osgood, who was supposed to start tonight but still is bothered by a sore groin.
“We're just starting Mac when it would have been Ozzie's turn,'' coach Mike Babcock said. "He's been good for us.''
MacDonald is 1-0-1 vs. Columbus this season, losing 3-2 in a shootout here on Jan. 14 and winning 6-5 in overtime the next night in Detroit.
“I played these guys a couple of times this year, I'm kind of familiar with them,'' MacDonald said. "We just got to play like we did last night (in a 3-2 win over Washington).''
Patrick Eaves returns to the lineup after missing 10 games with a groin injury. Drew Miller also is back in the lineup after being a healthy scratch the past two games.

Sorry, I got back home quite late and had to finish off some work. And I procrastinate really easily when looking for youtube clips.
Hoping for another solid win tonight.

No need to apologize I was just messing with ya. Nice GDT as always. Hopefully the boys tanks aren't too empty tonight...at least we didn't have to travel to far I guess. I think we pull out a
close victory tonight as Columbus usually plays us pretty well in their home building. GO WINGS!!
