When is it time to get that MoJo jersey?

Feels weird wearing 90 without Juneau, but I digress.

That'll likely be an offseason purchase for me

If Backstrom finds his form and the team continues to gel...

Just curious, pending Fehr's injury again is his shoulder, which it sounds it might be. Do we continue to try and work with Fehr or is it a time when he is labeled injury prone. The reason I ask is that I have had 2 operations on my shoulders and I can tell you that they are never the same. Just curious.

I just saw that. Shocking considering how bad our coaching is.

Dave Steckel is like a playground bully. I wonder if anyone is one his shiat list. Say what you want about him, he is one sturdy dude.

He is injury prone...he has one more year on a reasonable contract(when he is healthy). He has one more year and than either gone(most likely) or resigned for a reasonable rate.

Yeah I agree, as cool as it would be for New Jersey to come back from that huge deficit, I'd still rather see my team win. Unfortunately for the Devils, I feel like that loss in Ottawa essentially sealed their fate at a time when it was already improbable that they were going to make the playoffs.

Regardless of if they do end up making the playoffs though, I hope that they can carry this momentum into next season and regain their position as a force in the East.

unfortunately he is the best(read only) RW that's not old or he'd probably already be gone. We have more on the way but not until next year at least. I hate it because he does produce when he's in.

If the Caps are going to be a 1 or 2 seed, I see no point in rooting for NJ. I prefer the stumbling and backing into the playoffs kind of first round matchup rather than the hottest team in the league kind.

I hope NJ has hit the wall. I hope they die a painful death tonight. Sorry.

Injury report -- The Devils are without forward Zach Parise (knee) and defensemen Matthew Corrente (shoulder) and Matt Taormina (ankle). … Washington is still waiting for the return of Nicklas Backstrom (broken finger) and Mike Green (head). Eric Fehr (upper body) is day-to-day and Arnott (undisclosed) is out.

Trap + Trap = 1-0 boring

Trap + Trap w/ Stecks = Wash with at least one season ending injury

I'm not sure what the numbers are this week, but as of last week the Islanders were only behind the Devils in points gained since the ASG. 28 and 33 respectively.

subtlety is not one of my strong suits. I probably won't watch a lot of this game tonight.

I'm guessing the loss to Ottawa last night has taken a little wind out of the Devils sails. Backis's returns gives the Caps a bit of a boost. I too would much rather avoid facing NJ in the 1st round if at all possible. The Caps have a chance to just about put them away tonight.

3-1 Caps

Hendricks, Semin, OV (EN)

Caps with the win. Steckel completes "his hatrick" when he runs into Kovalchuk during a line change resulting in Kovalchuk being placed on the LTIR for the remainder of the season and ending all playoff hopes for the Devils.
