A win here ought to just about bury the Devils. Go for the jugular.

Good year for the Adams to go to the coach of a strong team that executed, in my opinion. Vigneault.

Strong teams that execute should not have a monopoly on the Adams either. There are years when the coach of a team that overachieved ought to get the Adams, and others when the coach of a team that managed to get a strong team to execute all season long (very difficult) ought to take home the award.

The reality is that the Adams today seems to go, each year, to the coach of a team that is, 'just glad to be here,' be it small payroll, still rebuilding, perennially stuck in 10th place, etc.

Vigneault should no more be exempt from consideration this year than Boudreau should be exempt from consideration, now that his team has expectations. There are those who would apply the logic that saw Boudreau take the Adams in his rookie year to exclude Boudreau this year, simply because of the unpardonable sin of being at the helm of a good team on paper. Good coaching ought to be recognized regardless of the level.

I expect quite the opposite; a most desperate NJ club that knows they can't afford another loss.

yes. if by "hat trick" you mean "ends Kovalchuk's season in line-change collision."

Not so sure how much it would help when I still have alcohol in my blood. I had a breathalyser and in the morning, you are still blowing it. 1800 Yuenglings Marzens then margaritas to wrap up the evening.

Ill be back online tomorrow.

Nice to see we arent in the running for the Presidents

Ovechkin stole the puck from Ovechkin then passed the puck to Ovechkin who returned it to Ovechkin then Ovechkin shot the puck and scored.

RT @mike_morreale: Looks like David Steckel is a late scratch for the Devils; Adam Mair is in!

Poor stecks

Merciful Jacques.

Edit: mike_morreale: Steckel has upper body ailment. Doctors held him out.

Damn straight. I figure I'll milk it while it lasts, hopefully more than a game, hopefully more than two. No confidence they can hang with Kansas, but here's hoping for a respectable run.

No Steckel and NJD rocking the Christmas duds.

You gotta worry. After prolonged winning streaks, teams seem to forget how to win.
