With a large fanbase comes a large amount of bad apples.

Did not check on the NHL board yet, I sense someone will post there about the article and another Habs bash fest coming

I don't know how they could make the Phillies and Eagles joint 1st without including the Flyers in there. Same group of people, same problems.

Not sure why they always bring up the riots/burning cars to make the fanbase look bad... Yeah it's been done during the celebrations, but everyone that was there can tell you the guys that put the cars on fire weren't habs fans.

Likening our past Cup wins to a middle adged starlets cleavage was a pretty funny analogy.

I don't get the end of the article. I chuckled.

It sort of reads like it may have been written by a Habs Fan. Maybe not.

Not very surprising and honestly couldn't care less about that. Ask the players if we are good or bad fans compared to past teams they have played for

A crowd IQ is very low. A very large crowd = even lower IQ.

They're right.

We have to be accountable for our fans, and our fans suck. I defend the booers like Voltaire defends free speech but it's still a stupid thing to do.

The riots and whatever are dumb as hell too.

Ok, let me rephrase.

A sports crowd IQ is very low. A very large sports crowd = even lower IQ.

Correction: According to GQ, the Montreal Canadiens fans are among the worst sports fans in America

If it was among the world, there would be a lot more club football fanbases on that list.

We do have a lot of idiots though.

I'll never forget the image last season when those guys we're looting the footlocker, the cops had gained control of the building and then some idiot decided to go in to start looting and then noticed there was cops inside and ran off. The amount of tears I shed laughing to this image cannot be measured, it was glorious. I actually have a picture of myself posing infront of this Foot Locker in July as a memory of the incident.

Boston and Philly are definitely in my opinion the two most hostile places to go watch a game with an opposing team's jersey on. But then again, they as fans are probably proud of that.

No, it's NA (because, they included us)...

I've never heard the Montreal crowd booing an injured (really injured) opposing player... as in Philly they do it regulary... in any sports.

...but really... all of these fans could also be considered the best in NA... passionate, knowledgeable and intimidating.

I experienced terrible hate when we were in NL wearing an Expos jersey to support my home town. Philly hates everyone!
