The 5th goal technically didn't count as an EN goal since Smith was coming off the ice and then went back towards the net trying to stop the puck but for all intents and purposes that was an EN goal, just didn't count it as one in the box score since the goalie was still on the ice.
Whats up with Beck? Only 4 pts through 13games!? A -7 as well. Obviously stats don't tell whole story, but how has he looked on the ice? Cheers, thanks for any information.

Beck has 9 points in 19 games with a -6. He is adjusting to the speed of the AHL game and the size and strength of the players. He seems to get stopped at the blueline on offense. That hurts his offensive production. If he can stay on his skates better, his numbers will go up. He did have a goal and an assist tonight on the third line with Latta and Puustinen. Those two score a lot of goals.
He has played in 4 of the 19 games. His save average is 85.9%. Smith is around 92%, so Atte has been riding the pines. I think the number and speed of the shots is throwing him off a little. He needs more time (and games) to adjust. The defense hasn't always helped him out, but they do that to Jeremy Smith too. Smith has been better at stopping the puck one on one.
Still struggling. He let in 3 goals in the first period last night. He should have stopped all of them. He overplayed one goal and slid entirely out of the crease. The puck came through the spot he vacated. He reacted slowly on the other two goals. He needs to improve his save %. Smith can't play every game the rest of the season.

maybe time to swap Pickard and Atte for a while? see if Atte can build some confidence in the lower league, and give chet another chance to see if he can hang in the "A"?

What are Chet's stats in Cincinnati this season?
Sign up Gates instead if he can skate. Milwaukee / Nashville needs another fighter!
Might have been asked already earlier in this thread or another.
Austin Watson will be 20 next month which is the age limit for Major Juniors. Does this mean that we can expect him to be in Milwaukee next season for sure? or is there an exception where he can return to Peterborough for one more year since he will still be 20 at the start of the league year?

I would think the org would want him in Milwaukee even if he had the option of staying as an overage junior... need to see if he can learn the pro game...
Pickard with 24 saves tonight. Unfortunately he faced 31 shots.
Smith with 33 saves in a 2-0 Admirals victory over Toronto. The Marlies forwards skated fast in the first period, but looked tired in the second period. They pulled the goalie with 2.5 minutes left and peppered Smith to no effect. Milwaukee plays a 3-in-3, so Atte should be in goal tomorrow night.
Mark Van Guilder has 4 goals (season total of 7) over the last 2 games. He scored the Admirals first SH goal of the season last night in the Game 24 victory over Toronto.
Salomaki has got some bite and attitude to him. Was in the faceoff dot and pushed the canadian center away before the drop. lol. He got kicked out of the faceoff obviously, but I like his spunk.
Fins are getting picked apart by the canadians though.
Man, I'm so jealous right now. I would kill for the Sharks or Panthers to have Salomäki. If he makes it to you guys, I can guarantee that he is a future fan-favorite and the perfect replacement for Tootoo, only with more skill. He even wears the same number #22.
