He looked very raw here. I wasn't that impressed. Perhaps he does better on bigger ice. He needs to get over here and start adjusting ASAP for me to have any real hope for him.

He will play in North America next year either way. The Swedish clause ends after this season. He'll either be a Pred or and Ad next year, hopefully a Pred.

I'd rather him be an Ad for a while, get used to NA ice. Let Blum and Ellis try for more playing time up here if we have a spot for them.
Two-way defenseman. Great skater, was trusted by both Muller and Herbers this season to play in the last minute whether the team was up a goal or needing one to tie it up. Good offensive instincts, owns a good shot from the point.

Add shot blocking extraordinaire to this. A couple games this year he had around 10 blocked shots.

A bunch of our defenseman get injured. It's game 7, and we have to play one of Blum or Bartley. Who do you put in?

Bartley. He has more upside on offense but can get back on D due to better footspeed than Blum has. He knows when and how to pinch. Like AF24 said, he can block shots. I expect him to be in the NHL after next season, maybe by the end of next season. Blum has improved in recent weeks, but Bartley has a better game.

Blum without a doubt. You can talk upside all you want with Bartly, you need someone who has experience and is familiar with the system. If there is an injury, you need someone to come in, and perform, not perform eventually.
If this was a regular season game, I'd probably say Bartly.
Quick question for Preds fans. What's going on with Colin Wilson. I saw that he played in 68 games for you guys this season, but was not on the playoff roster. Was he hurt, or just scratched? I know you guys have high hopes for him, and I hope he turns into that number one center for you guys.

Let me start by saying that I am in Milwaukee, not Nashville. Trotz is a defense first style coach. Wilson has good offensive skills as he displayed at BU, but has been a defensive liability. You can argue that he can't or won't play defense. He did play four games in the playoffs for Nashville, scoring one goal. He defensive skills looked improved. I think his best place is on the first or second lines. Trotz has this tendency to put guys like Wilson on the third or fourth line. Why he does this with offensive players is subject to debate.
