Any chance JD comes back?

With what is going on with the Blues possible sale of the team, do you guys think JD has a future there? If not, is it crazy to think that he re-joins Sam?

I remember reading last year that JD was not certain that he wanted an extension once his contract was going to run out this summer. Not to pick on JD, but the Blues have not won a playoff game since he took over and have only been in the playoffs once.

Whether on his own or if new ownership decides to go in another direction, I think it may be the end of the road for JD in St. Louis. I'd love to have him back here. What do you guys think?

If he comes back to MSG, I think there is a better chance that he goes to the front office then him re-joining Sam.

Why can't he do both?

Even a monkey can try to do two jobs at once, just ask Sather.

^ Yea exactly, thats why Sather spent bank on Boogard he's our enforcer/asbestos roof guy. Thats the real reason he's out of the lineup.

if by some god given miracle the rangers made it to the SCF within the next few seasons, they should bring back JD to call the games with Sam for old times sake. especially if the series went to a game 7, that would be ***** epic.
on a more serious note, joe is a clueless drone IMO, he has brought down the quality of MSG broadcasts in the past few seasons

JD is a world class commentator, but the Blues have been awful for quite a while.

The only reason I'd say JD wouldn't be back as a color guy is because I don't see them giving JM the boot. He has really done anything wrong until this point. With that said I would love to have JD be back doing the color next to Sam.

I even wouldn't mind him as our GM. Just bring JD home again! (Insert I'm Coming Home Song).

I would LOVE for JD to be brought back to be the Assistant GM. St. Louis has a TON of really good young players who play the game hard. I don't really understand how they don't win games but it isn't because of JD.

Backes, Oshie, Berglund, Stewart, Pietrangelo, Polak, Perron, Cole, Shattenkirk, Halak. Big, strong and skilled players up front and some good puck-movers on the back-end. If I were St. Louis, I hang on to JD. He has rebuilt their team the right way and in a couple of years, they will be VERY good and VERY difficult to play against with their size and strength.

They also have Tarasenko on the way as well. The future is bright in St. Louis.

JM is so repetitive and biased he makes Sam act strange on occasion. I would love for someone from the 93 team to take over.

JD is the President of Hockey Operations for the Blues, not their GM. If he came back to NY, it is very unlikely it would be in a GM role, and instead it would probably be some other executive function.

I, too, doubt he'd be interested in being an announcer anymore.

MSG does not own the broadcast rights to the ECF or SCF.

Definitely miss JD in the booth. Would love to see him back with Sam, Micheletti is annoying.

Cally gets the C, JD comes back, AND we have a real top 6?

Man I don't think I could handle all that awesomeness in one season, thus I don't think JD comes back home.

JD back to the booth would be so epic.

I still remember his last game, Sam giving him a subtle goodbye at the end.. at that point there had been rumors of JD leaving which no one wanted to believe, and it still wasn't official at that point but I remember just how Sam signed off and said something to JD that he was leaving..

Love him back in the booth or in the front office 20 times over Messier..

JD has done a great job and we would be better off if he filled any available (or currently filled) role of his choosing.

JD was like GOD in the broadcast booth...and we certainly have not replaced him with the present crew although it is not great around the league either...it is all heading downward IMO .

it's bizarre because St. Louis has performed so poorly, but when you look at the players he's brought in and drafted the team looks so solid on paper.

Seriously. I thought with the addition of Halak they were sure to be a good team. They really look very solid on paper.
