with the loss of Kopi and the inevitable line-up shuffle this is in a way 'out the window'. how the team responds and moves on without 11 will be interesting. not just for the remainder of this season, playoffs(?), but for the greater long term of the club.
how they respond is a telling indicator of the maturity of this team. DL and TMu will be very carefully watching to see how each guy responds to this situation. losing your #1 and #2 scorers couldn't put more pressure and adversity on everyone else's shoulders. now the club finds out who has the heart and passion they want.
i played on a few teams that we lost some assortment of top players and it was interesting to see who started making excuses. suddenly the 'we dont have a chance', 'it doesnt matter because'....some guys fall back into a defeatist mindset without the top guy(s). the guys that got lazy and made excuses and accepted the loss(es), weren't back playing with us.
this is a great opportunity for the team to show each other, Murray and Dean the guts they have. to play on and try win out the final 7, make the PO's, see what they can do. which guys step up and pick up the slack will be on the top of the depth chart next season, regardless of the outcome.

6 - 3 - 1 Kings finish with 99 points.
Win in the last game of the season keeps the Ducks out of the playoffs.
Even though I can't add, should have been 7 - 2 - 1, have done fairly well on predicting wins and losses.
Don't know if the last game the Kings will be able to keep the Ducks out of the playoffs but should make for an interesting weekend.
