could have drawn from an older stat. Canucks could now be ahead of Nashville in man games lost
Matthew Lombardi, Cal O'Reilly, Francis Bouillon, Marcel Goc, and Steve Sullivan

Edler and Alberts were both skating up at UBC with a coach yesterday morning. Both looked to be going pretty hard. Jesus, those are some big boys.

What's up with Malhotra? I realize he is done for the year, but there has been no update as to the extent of damage, long term prognosis, nothing.

There was some nasty rumours in an Ian McIntyre article a while back that he was going to completely lose his eye or that he was completely blind. Is it true Steve Nash has admitted that there's a very good chance he won't see out of that eye again?

Please don't give me the bleeding heart posts about how it's not my business, it's private, etc. I am simply wondering if anyone has heard how he is doing.

Great to hear. Can't wait to see Edler back in the lineup.

We haven't heard a whole lot of updates, but he should start practicing with the team in this upcoming week. Original timeline still seems accurate: 1st game of round 1. Check back here for updates.

Nothing confirmed, everything is just speculation and rumours. Apparently they can't actually determine the full extent of the damage until the swelling goes down, blood drains from his eye etc. I've heard that vision can improve after an injury like this over time. So I think it's just wait and see. Time will tell.

I have a bad feeling about Hamhuis, we've seen what happened with Mitchell and the effect of a 2nd hit to the head. Last game it was Byfuglien, now this unlucky collision... And also that horrendous hit from Getzlaf earlier this season...

Um what Byfuglien hit? If your referring to the crosscheck that was on Bieksa.

I suspect we might be seeing edler back a little sooner than expected if Hamhuis is concussed.

Not without cap space. There's a possibility of making room for Edler, but it would require every single forward to be healthy and that they go with a 12 forward roster without room for a single call up.

right before the crosscheck Byfuglien layed out Hamhuis with a disgusting hit, it doesn't take much for a 2nd hit to the head to be damaging

av confirms in the post-game news conference that hamhuis suffered a concussion

based on his mannerisms, av didn't appear to be taking it lightly

considering hamhuis' missed 5 games with a concussion earlier in the season, the recovery period will likely be no quicker than that and potentially much longer

just brutal

that sums it up. he won't be suiting up for the final 7 regular season games. possibly be back around for round 1 or round 2 if the nucks advance.

This is why that Ballard-Grabner trade was an excellent one from Gillis' part.
