Marlies getting into penalty trouble. 3 penalties in a row now.
Meech in the box. Dodged one there. Hope they tighten it up with the penalties. Pretty nerve-wracking to listen to while trying to write.

You know Holzer's not familiar with the offensive zone when he trucks over the Griffins goaltender, with no one around him, skating backwards to gain position in front of the net lol

*Nice backhand feed by Colborne to Brunnstrom, but is snagged by Brown.

*Grand Rapids is pouring on the pressure, but Ben Scrivens (and a couple key defensive saves) are stone walling the Griffins. Couple huge saves and lucky breaks for Scrivens.. 31 shots already by Grand Rapids.

*Brenner hasn't had much ice-time by the looks of it this game.

*The Marlies are getting really lucky on the bounces right now. Game could have easily been tied by now.

*Cowan gets a partial break, but is robbed by Brown again with the glove. Would have been a real key goal if they scored here.

Wow. Scrivens has faced 33 shots already at the 2nd INT.

This reminds me of the Wild/Leafs game. Wild had 29 SOG and the Leafs only 17 at the end of it all. They fared well regardless of course. Hopefully Marlies will too.

Colborne has made a couple nice plays tonight. Nothing bad nothing too extraordinary.

Gardiner is impressive moving the puck. Looks poised out there. I like what I've seen so far early in his pro career. Hopefully he can build on it.

It was a nice rush by Brunnstrom and the rebound popped out into the slot and (I believe) he backhanded it in past Brown. There was a bit of a scramble in front of the net.

Good debut for the kid.

Brunnstrom and Gysbers get the assists.

looking forward to the highlights...

hopefully tml.com puts them quickly. it seems like sometimes they go up immediately after the game and sometimes you need to wait a couple days for them.

Scrivens see's his 40th shot. Great game from him tonight.

Gysbers' assist gives him 30pts on the year. Good season offensively from him.

thanks JE for the input.

Another question who do you think is more valuable to the organization atm, Holzer or Mikus.

Value wise I think they both bring something different. Mikus is more two-way, has a great shot, but needs more seasoning/strength.

Holzer is a solid defensive style defender who is likely more NHL ready of the two. Very poised. Not afraid of getting his nose dirty.

Both players actually play with some good poise IMO. Mikus just needs to add a bit more to his game at the moment to make him a bigger threat.
