A shutout is a shutout and perfect game is a perfect game. No criticism of Miller at all and full marks. You win a game 2-0 (2nd goal an empty netter) and your goalie earns a lot of praise. Goaltending is not just about big saves, it's also about focus and no cheap goals. Miller accomplished that and earned his three-star selection. More games like that and this team is dangerous.

If you weren't holding your breath the last 10 minutes of the game, expecting a Habs goal, you haven't been paying attention

Ugly: Mike Weber forgetting how to skate backwards with 2 minutes to go in the game...

Just wanted to mention that Gerbe drew two penalties, as well. Don't think that has been mentioned yet. He showed a complete package of skill, speed and tenacity last night. His deflection of Myers' shot was incredible. Should have been the first star.

But he's too short to play in this league. Top 6 or nothing for him.

That's why "tons of people" aren't NHL head coaches

Gerbe didn't "stink" earlier in the year.

My point is Ruff stuck with him and deserves credit. He was not effective in the first half. Lindy sticks with guys. The same philosophy left Rivet in lineup way past his due date. It's also the same thinking that throws Butler out on the PP, hoping he'll turn into more.
On Gerbe, the Ruff way of doing things worked out and Lindy should get praise just like he gets blame for other stuff.
