Player of the Game & The Good, The Bad, The Redden: Game #74 vs. Florida Panthers

Player of the Game & The Good, The Bad, The Redden

The RulesWhat is the poll for?

You are voting for the player of the game - the one who put forth the most effort, who put the team on his shoulders, who contributed the most.

Do not vote for the player who had the best statistical game just because he had the best statistical game.

This does not mean you should not vote for the player of who had the best statistical game, but do not vote for him just because of that fact.

Who can I vote for?

You may vote for any player who dressed for the game and played at least one shift. If the player you want to vote for is not included in the poll, select "Other" and indicate in your post who you wish to vote for. In the case that I egregiously miss the player who everyone wants to vote for in the poll, I will count the votes in the thread.

What is this "The Good, The Bad, The Redden" nonsense?

It is my twist on the title of the famous spaghetti western movie, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Since multiple players may have outstanding games and you can only vote for one player in the poll, this affords you the opportunity to recognize multiple players, or a facet of the team, for their commendable play ("The Good"). This also affords you the opportunity to rip players, or a facet of the team, for their particularly substandard play ("The Bad"). Finally, just as "The Player of the Game" affords you the opportunity to recognize the best, this affords you the opportunity to commend the crème de la crème of the worst, who delivered an atrocious performance, or whose singular (or multiple) bad plays directly led to the the detriment of the team ("The Redden").

Alexander Frolov Memorial Trophy

The Alexander Frolov Memorial Trophy is awarded to the player who most exemplifies the qualities that Alex brought to the ice game in and game out. Most notable was his talent for wraparounds. Thusly, this award is given to the player who has the most wraparound attempts throughout the game.

The award tonight goes to Ruslan Fedotenko, with 1 wraparound attempt against Florida.

I have no idea why the images are ****ed. Can a mod care to explain? These are the same ones I've been using all season.

POTG: Dubinsky only because Henrik didn't have too much work. Could also go with any of the top 4 defensemen.

POTG: Dubinsky

The Good: Everybody, nobody stood out in particular, , the Panthers are easy so the Rangers didn't have to play 100 percent out there, but they still looked pretty good.

The Bad: Defense wasn't great, but nobody played particularly bad

The Redden: Game was BOOORRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG

Did you check the tables? It could be the html/css coding.

Voted Other, because everyone was good tonight. Well, Christensen kinda sucked, as did Gilroy, but it was a great team effort. Completely trolled the Panthers up and down.

POTG: Dubi
Good: Henrik in the final 30s. Boyle was the best player in the O zone i thought.
Bad: Sam calling that last shot a goal, almost threw my remote at the wall.
Redden: One of the most boring games of the season. zzzzzzzz....

Wow. What a game. All I can say. Nailbiter all the way through.

Vokoun was amazing.

I'm going to go a bit off the board here and pick Anisimov. I like his work in front of the net to help create the goal.

POTG: Henrik. Despite an "easy" shutout, he made the saves when he had to, especially at the end. In a 1-0 victory, got to give it to your goaltender.

We have no control over the HTML/CSS. The BBcode does that automatically. I have a template that I copy/paste, so I don't see why this one is any different.

Dubinsky was good, Hank was great. Hard game for him with nothing to do most the game.

Seems to me we dumped the puck less today and carried it over the blueline instead. Good stuff. That said, game was boring. But who the hell cares, whatever gets us to the playoffs is fine by me!

I can't believe both Carolina and Buffalo are winning. I feel like no matter how well we play, and this is 6 wins out of 7 games now, that we can't make up much ground.
