Good though, I'll try my hardest to get tickets to that game.

I like this one.

But they'll probably choose one where you can see the 'C'.

Of course MY thread gets merged into the one with the least number of replies. Way to go mods.

You mean the one that was made first, right? V-Bulletin defaults merges into the earliest one made.

What a bum......
Funny thing is we still got the best asset we were getting from Montreal for Sundin at that time in Grabovski.

Higgins was the other name I remember being involved.

I made a joke, but I'm glad to see this happening.

Leafs fans didn't give Mats a proper goodbye. There were still some emotions running rampant when he came back and we cheered him for the video tribute, but booed him the rest of the night.

It was really weird to see him in a Canucks uniform and even weirder to see him score the shootout winner against us with his patented backhand move. It will be nice to give him the farewell and standing ovation he deserves.

And we didn't have to see Sundin in a Habs uniform..

This made me cry on the inside whenever I saw it:

Leafs only retire a number if the player suffered a career ending injury or died while a member of the team.

so we can copy the Habs? No thanks.

They won't be able to honor Koivu which is a crying shame because of their stupid number retiring BS.

I know they wouldn't, but damnit if Sundin didn't live and die by the people of Toronto.

I just don't want to see some kid (ahem...Naz) show up one day wearing no. 13. It has too much honor and class associated with it.

This one. He just looks like a king in it, which he pretty much was here for a decade.

Agreed, but Naz won't wear it (I hope). I can see 13 becoming like 17, although it's not officially retired, no one will wear it for awhile.

Absolutely cannot wait for this, would be an amazing game to go to.

If any one boos Sundin I will personally meet them outside the ACC.

maybe retiring the number of the leading point getter of leafs history would not be such a bad idea
