Wow, Anderson just made a great save. Good job by Dubi, but damn that was a nice stop.

He could have prevented that goal.
What's sad is his effort level was probably about 50% and he was still only a stride and half away from making the play. He also skated towards the goal while Shannon veered away from him to get space.
That goal was all Gaborik's fault.

So what was that as the period ended, McCabe hasn't played in a while and Prospal just went down weirdly as time expired?

How is this once again we play a team that NZT and we can't even generate a legit scoring chance . Suck on the Jack Adams you windbag torts . Meanwhile Chris Neil is running all over the place while WW and EC do zero and Avery sits . Prediction , start if big losing streak

Good end to the period, but the game they've played is inexcusable. You're facing the worst team in the East — I don't give a damn if they "have nothing to play for" or are "loose". Their 2nd line center is Ryan Shannon. This is an absolute must win at this point in the season. Having 13 shots through two periods in a game of this magnitude just shows signs of a sub-par effort.

TL;DR:

Wake the **** up.

Gaborik line looks like ****, especially Gaborik + EC combo, but lord knows I have a big hating for EC so I may be biased there.

This team needs a spark right now, like, old Avery kind of spark.

The last three minutes of that period looked like the Rangers. They need to find a way to maintain that level of play, emotion, and physicality.

I want to see more of the Stepan line too as they're really creating out there.

20 minutes of hard play here boys come on.

Spezza was skating almost straight on with his head up. Could have easily turned.

Got a couple chances that period, but still not enough sustained pressure.

It seems we might be in the midst of another goal scoring slump.

Stepan only 6:23 this game so far. Pretty conventional minutes spread for NYR

So if Aves was playing you'd want him to fight Neil. Neil would destroy him.

Well I missed the first and by the sounds of it I did not miss much. The second seemed like they couldn't get much going, but after the send scored it looked like the rangers came on.big save by Anderson, but we need more! Big third coming need to get our forecheck going...get shots ...and score some...lets go rangers

Yes, the Rangers need to create some energy. Not playing physically at all, giving the advantage to a lesser team.

The trap mother****ers, if you can't get through the sens trap, you won't get far in the playoffs with the other team's traps. especially Boston.
