Hoping for a clean game... and I think it will be one
Bettman had a chat with Chirelli and PG at the GM meetings
I think if one little thing gets out of hand no matter how minor someone is getting a game or two off.
anyways
go habs go!

I have my doubts for tonight. We have a decimated lineup, some players are in a rut. I do believe we can win this though, it just can go both ways. If there's any game, from here on until the end of the season, when our players will be the most pumped and motivated, its tonight. Hopefully, the entire team starts the game playing their best hockey of the season, and continues that way until the end of the night! Let's win this for Pacioretty.

Do you really think any of our players can take on Chara without getting a beating? Come on man I'd expect more from our fan base. No players on this team can even land a punch on him, we are better off pissing him off like Max has done in the past, it works better and gets him off his game

It's going to be a hard, frustrating, weird game... I was going to say dirty but that's a given.

Boston 5

Chara - Obviously (PP) GWG
Recchi - Obviously (PP)
Bergeron (SH)
Lucic x 2 (PP and EN)

3 for 6 on PP
Thomas 26 saves

Habs 3

Gionta (PP)
Subban
Pouliot

1 for 2 on PP
Price 38 saves

What happened to the last guy who pissed off Chara and got him off his game? A 'sad incident'. With the league's backing.

Sad incident? a strong hockey play would more accurate. STRONG!

Anyways

: MONTREAL
Andrei Markov Knee - IR Out for the season
Josh Gorges Knee surgery - IR Out for the season
Max Pacioretty Concussion/fractured vertebra - IR Out indefinitely
Jaroslav Spacek Knee surgery - IR Out indefinitely
Mathieu Darche Groin - IR
Jeff Halpern Lower body - Questionable for this game
Tomas Plekanec Lower body - Questionable for this game
Brent Sopel Hand - Questionable for this game

:: BOSTON
Marc Savard Concussion - IR Out for the season
Shane Hnidy Shoulder - IR

And we're just a few points back with less than 10 games. Makes you wounder where we'd be a full healthy lineup for the year.

Chara got pissed at Patches for that little shove, I still think Chara was pissed at his team that night for blowing a 2 goal lead with 2 minutes left and took it out on Patches cause of a little shove.

Anyways Lapierre all these past years was always getting under Chara skin and he never did anything but get penalties. We'll see, I think getting him off his game will work better than trying to start a scrap with a guy that bigger than all of our players and all it will do is give them momentum which isn't a good idea

4-3 Montreal.

Boston will score 3 goals first, and then collapse as the Habs will pressure them like there is no tomorrow, and make a heroic comeback in Beantown.

Boston will get stupid penalty at the end, Rask will throw a tantrum like there is no tomorrow. We will remember tonight as the final straw on the Bruins' mental back, for it will break for the rest of the season, never to fully recover for the playoffs.

McQuaid will play good, however.

so a certain player on some random team that may or may not play hockey made a comment that could be construed as derogatory towards a player on a team that might be north of the United States and because of a prior indiscretion by a player that may or may not play with the said player we cannot talk about his comments in another thread even though said player said something stupid?

I may or may not agree with you.

Just imagine if we face that random team in the playoffs. Chaos, pure Chaos.

I know it worked in the past. Bégin was pretty awesome at it too with Chara. And it's likely still the best way to go. I'm just bitter. And living in Boston having to stop listening to the radio or reading the papers about hockey for the last 2 weeks because it's a non-stop Montreal hate-fest with EVERYONE on air, even those I respected, now supporting the freaking retarded 'Pacioretty exaggerated his injury' line, I'm just sick of this whole thing.

Can't they read the freaking description of how concussion scaling works? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concussion#Grading_systems

There, took me 2 minutes, and CLEARLY it's a grade III, i.e. severe, concussion based on facts of loss of consciousness for minutes alone. Everything else is irrelevant. Ugh, can't believe I'm still talking about it, really did get under my skin by being immerse in it.

@Solka

Stop sucking up to LW with the 'McQuaid will play well'

Bruins are only giving the Habs more motivation. Fuel the fire, you big dumb bear, fuel it ! Thank you Recchie, you double agent, you've done your job very well.

I also find it hillarious that since Chara's dirty hit (or it seems), Julien and other interviewed Boston players refer to him as "Z".

After winning the Vezina 2 years ago he followed it with a crappy year, so if he wins it again I wouldn't mind him having another crappy season next year

Is it wrong of me to hope we get out of this game without any injuries?

Winning would be nice, but not losing one of our rare healthy players would be better.

They forget about the Bruins. They don't forget about the Habs. I swear they have talked at least twice as much about the Habs/Montreal than the Bruins in the last week.

One evening the hockey part of their show had 2 parts:

1) Pacioretty faked injury
2) Subban vs Lecavalier incident (to show how much Subban is a diver, as are all the Habs, and likely their fans dive in the street too).

The Bruins lost the night before and Marchand got 2 games suspension for elbowing a guy behind the head, but who the hell cared?
