We did a pretty good job stat-padding down the stretch last year to assure Henrik his awards, so it would only be just we do the same for Daniel (we need this guy to win the Rocket Richard). Atlanta hasn't been great lately, and have allowed 15 goals over their last 3 games. It's also the second of a back to back for them, and they don't have anything to play for...especially against us, since spoiling anything is fairly impossible.

Wonder if Byfuglien will get parked in front of the net at all? Lu's old nemesis...although it would be interesting to see how Lu's new style of being further back in his crease would match up against Buff's net presence.

Feels like I'm repeating myself, but: win or lose, I'm just hoping for multi-point games from the Twins!

This has letdown game written all over it after they locked up the top spot with the Detroit win.

Maybe the fact that Byfuglien and Ladd are on Atlanta will spark them.

This is all logical.... so we will get blown out.

Why should Byfuglien, a defender, crash the net? Isn't that what you have forwards for?

This game and the Jackets game are trap games, both in result, and in... gulp... injury likelihood.

Unlike last year, this year's Canucks haven't failed to show up against weak opponents. Their record vs. the bottom 10 teams in the league so far is 21-2-1, which both regulation losses against St. Louis. They've been very good at avoiding trap games so far, so hopefully tomorrow's the same thing.

Does he still play in front of the net on the PP? I thought he was exclusively on D this year?

To paraphrase Shorty during a recent radio broadcast, this game is guaranteed to be a partial sell-out in Atlanda

Oh, and just stay healthy for the love of Pete! Pointless game, no need to go injuring people.

You can go back a lot farther than that and still come up with some pretty damning stats. Over the past 2 or so months:

3-8-2
GAA: 3.50
SV%: .878

I still remember everyone fawning all over him after his hot start. Where are the people that said they'd take Pavelec over Luongo now?

So long as Hank and Dan keep putting up points, I am pretty happy.

It's scary how Daniel is now in the Rocket Richard hunt as well as the likely winner of the Art Ross.

Is Luongo confirmed? Because I could easily see Schneider getting this game.

Schneider would be a good idea for this game. On the other hand, maybe Luongo would like to get past some of his Ladd and Bufyglien demons.

There likely won't be 100% confirmation of the starting lineup until tomorrow. I agree that it could go either way for Lu or Schneider.

Heh, I was actually thinking the opposite; these guys aren't making the playoffs so I'd prefer Luongo wasn't even reminded of the Buff issue, and just by-passed it and continued his great play right into the post-season. Doesn't really matter obviously.

Daniel will score 3 goals and 2 assists.
Henrik will get 1G 4A

Daniel with first 100 point season and ties Stamkos.
Henrik with... 20 goals again.
