Norwegian Hockey-updates 2010/2011

So, I guess we need a topic about this. Bring in information about norwegians playing hockey in this season(the 2010/2011 season).

Both domestic and international.

Anders Myrvold arrested...AGAIN!

This time for hitting someone with a hockeystick in a pub/club and then resisting arrest.

Patrick Thoresen opened with 3 points in the first game of the KHL-season. Nice start!

So.

Thoresen has 10+ goals in the KHL.

Zuccarello Aasen has scored for Hartford.

Holös made his debut for Colorado last night.

Any german updates?

Edit: Oh, and Kristian Forsberg(of all people) had a hattrick for Modo early this week.

13 A on 13 GP. The downside is that he has no goals.

What about Olimb? We have forgotten about the poor guy who was beaten up before he had a chance to show himself. I think he's with Chicago's AHL team, still listed as injured.

I also hear that O-K Tollefsen has success with Modo

Does any one have track of how younger norwegian talents out side Norway are developing? Here are some names:

North America
Adreas Stene, Kelowna Rockets, so far GP12/G 0/A 3
Scott winkler, Colorado College, long term injured, up for surgery
Rasmus Juell, Cedar Rapids Roughriders, just signed for Northeastern Univ. for 2012/2013
Nicholas Weberg -Shattuck St. Mary
Sebastian Weberg - Shattuck St. Mary
Henrik Wood - St. Olav Oles (St Olavs College)

Sweden
Sondre Olden - MODO, has played his first games in Eliteserien
Marcus Søberg -MODO
Mathias Trettenes - MODO
Mikael Haga - Luleå
Mattias Nørstebø - Brynäs
Jonas Knutsen - Timrå

Fin
Lars Volden - Blues

CH
Fredrik Sitje - Biel U18/ Biel U20, he is only 15 years old, youngest player in the U20 team, has CH/N passport. Should be a player for Norways National team?

I know there are others, but I think these guys are the most interessting.

Apparently, national goalie Ruben Smith got fired from his club (Rosenborg) the other day. Because of arguing or differences with the head coach.

Ruben Smith doesn't accept that, and we have to see what happens next.

Mathis Olimb has played 19 games now, with Rockford IceHogs since he came back from he's injury in the end of november. He has 6 G and 5 A, = 11. pts. and he is +5. Let's hope he get called up to the Hawks sometimes in the near future.

A little update:

Patrick THORESEN is 4th in scoring in the KHL : http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/l...nts&league=KHL

3rd in goals actually. Not bad!

The team is 5th in the league and is the highest scoring team:
http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/d...isplay=regular

Tore VIKINGSTAD is around 15th in DEL, playing for Hannover Scorpions : http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/l...nts&league=DEL

A little low on scoring, but the passes is still there.

Team is struggling around the middle and defense looks to be horrible:
http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/d...isplay=regular

Per-Åge SKRÖDER is around 10th in SEL : http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/l...nts&league=SEL

The team is around the last playoffs-spot, possible still some points behind?

Fredrick Linge - 1992
Christian Linge - 1993
Both play for Northwood School in lake placid.
Christian Linge the younger of the two is getting alot of Division 1 NCAA looks.

Nicholas Weberg Commited to Yale.

Olden

Does anyone have an update on Sondre Olden?

He has had the same stats posted on eliteprospects for quite some time. Is he injured?

bump, I'm curious about Olden's season as well. Stats are way down compared to last year in J20, wondering if anyone has been watching and can speak on his development/progress.....

I found these stats on him at J-20:

1 #34 Jesper Olofsson 39 34 10 44
2 #19 Daniel Magnusson 41 9 24 33
3 #47 Anton Byström 23 3 22 25
4 #25 Andreas Forsström 40 8 14 22
5 #13 Sondre Olden 32 7 14 21
6 #51 Tim Vesterberg 38 9 11 20
7 #9 Erik Nyström 38 6 13 19
8 #37 Sebastian Magnusson 38 9 9 18
9 #43 David Rydell 28 5 11 16
10 #2 Marcus Bohman 39 4 11 15

And, it's nice to see that we got a norwegian doing well at the U-18 level at Modo to:

1 #52 Jesper Persson 35 51 19 70
2 #49 Mathias Trettenes 40 24 38 62
3 #17 David Gunnarsson 29 7 43 50
4 #35 Olov Håkansson 36 16 28 44
5 #32 Fredrik Sjödin (Modo J20) 36 4 39 43
6 #15 Isak Nyström 27 15 14 29
7 #8 Albin Carlson 40 10 19 29
8 #31 Oscar Johansson 22 17 10 27
9 #9 Erik Nyström (Modo J20) 14 10 17 27
10 #41 Victor Öhman 28 12 13 25

Looks like it's good to have your name to be Jesper.
