In my mind he's the play-off starter, so I wouldn't go out of my way to test him and increase his workload. If he can handle a play-off workload, he can handle the workload. Testing him won't change that, and it's not like we're likely to find out much with regards to that by starting him tomorrow anyway.
Wow, even though the Flyers game finished first, they updated the Caps game on the main NHL site saying they tied us for the East lead. Ummm, we got 2 points before they finished, thank you very much.
Nhl main site being wrong and biased towards teams with superstars, unheard of!
As for starting Bob tomorrow, I'd throw him out there too. Not so much to test him as he's bounced back pretty well, but to ride the hot guy and get him back into the swing of playing back-to-backs. Last time he did that was the beginning of December.
I see we did what we were supposed to do and beat an inferior team.
Was it a full 60 minute effort?
JVR had a hat trick. He along with Bobrovsky were the two best players. The Flyers started the fourth line which was an indication: two immediate fights to help set the tempo. The Islanders offered a solid challenge, had 31 shots through two periods but the Flyers played well in the third period. Good effort though unspectacular. Faceoffs were a concern. PP had just one chance. PK was solid.
