I think it would be a good test for him.

I would go Bouch tomorrow and give Bob the Penguins.

In my mind he's the play-off starter, so I wouldn't go out of my way to test him and increase his workload. If he can handle a play-off workload, he can handle the workload. Testing him won't change that, and it's not like we're likely to find out much with regards to that by starting him tomorrow anyway.

Wow, even though the Flyers game finished first, they updated the Caps game on the main NHL site saying they tied us for the East lead. Ummm, we got 2 points before they finished, thank you very much.

NHL.com says that the Caps win to tie for first in the East. How bad is it that the official mouthpiece for the league makes such basic mistakes?

And yet the standings have the Flyers 4 pts in front of Washington.

They can't get enough exploitation out of the Caps.

Nhl main site being wrong and biased towards teams with superstars, unheard of!

As for starting Bob tomorrow, I'd throw him out there too. Not so much to test him as he's bounced back pretty well, but to ride the hot guy and get him back into the swing of playing back-to-backs. Last time he did that was the beginning of December.

No, at the Islanders home games there isn't enough room on the benches. so they keep the backup goalie down the tunnel.

Flyers have clinched at least a 5 seed.

5 points clinches home ice in first round.

10 points clinches division title and #2 seed. (Assuming 2 of the games are Reg/OT wins).

10 points clinches #1 overall seed if all 5 of the wins are regulation/OT, otherwise 11 points.

Over 20 minutes later, they still have not changed that Caps thing on the main NHL page.

I have faith that they'll change that headline on the main page... tomorrow morning when they preview the day's games.

They might as well be making things up if they do something like this. Maybe a team doesn't exist or something.

How was the game tonight boys?

I see we did what we were supposed to do and beat an inferior team.

Was it a full 60 minute effort?

I'm sure it isn't intentional.

JVR had a hat trick. He along with Bobrovsky were the two best players. The Flyers started the fourth line which was an indication: two immediate fights to help set the tempo. The Islanders offered a solid challenge, had 31 shots through two periods but the Flyers played well in the third period. Good effort though unspectacular. Faceoffs were a concern. PP had just one chance. PK was solid.

2nd period wasn't too good, maybe because the Flyers were on the PK a couple times a couldn't get a rhythm going. Otherwise, I thought they played a pretty solid game. Bob was great again.
