He's been getting bombarded with shots. It seems to me like Wedgewood is the type of goalie that thrives on getting a heavy workload. Lots of positive tweets regarding his play thus far. I'd like to try and catch a Plymouth game on-line, sometime this weekend to get a look at him (and Ryan Murphy).

Scott Wedgewood stopped 52 of 57 shots as the Plymouth Whalers beat the Kitchener Rangers 6-5 in OT. They now lead the series 3-1.

One more win and they knock off Landeskog and Kitchener.

Plymouth did a great job battling back. They were down 4-1, then 5-3 with 2 minutes left and they got it to overtime, the tying goal with like 8 seconds left.

how is 45 saves on 47 shots only good enough for the 3rd star of the game?

i know he has since stopped 52 of 57, but seriously, that type of performance is usually an automatic first star unless there is an OT winner.

Wedge has played in a total of three playoff series, and his combined Save Percentage is .935. That's pretty darn good.

Wedgewood continues to see a lot of rubber, Saint John continues to dominate, same old.

Nice to see Clermont play.

Devils are in on Hobey Baker finalist Andy Miele.

Buccigross tweeted earlier that Andy Miele is close to making a decision on who he's going to sign with in the NHL. I sent a tweet reply, asking who the finalists were, and he tweeted back to me:

"ive heard kings, ducks, coyotes, stars, and devils. But, we'll see soon,"

I hope so. Kid's small (like 90% of undrafted college FAs), but 71 points in his senior year is ridiculous. Most points in the CCHA since 92.

Devs have fared pretty well with smaller players:

Gionta - 5'7
Rafalski - 5'10
Parise - 5'11
Gomez - 5'11

I wonder if the Devils were able to use Greene to help in the pitch.
