Team defense. One good thing about Murray's system is that it doesn't rely on creativity for goals. Guys just need to finish a little better now that Kopitar is out. Lewis with a nice goal was good to see. We've seen those chances go wide too many times.
Smyth showing the guys how it is done when someone gets injured. Nice to see him with some jump.
Again, I would love for somebody to show me WHY Schenn is stuck in juniors and why we can't call up him up until Saskatoon is eliminated....
Why in what way... Do you mean why can't we bring him up, or why was he sent down?
He can't come up because it's in the CBA. It's a stupid rule to protect the CHL. Yet the NHL has no problem with the Islanders signing Kyle Okposo midseason from Minnesota a couple of years ago.
If you are asking why he was demoted, ask Murray and Lombardi. It was their call, I thought it was terrible asset management at the time and it looks even worse now.
Linden Vey, the most well rounded of our forwards making him better suited to stepping in out of Jr's and giving us a good look on wing is in a playoff race with his tigers.
Toffoli, another gifted winger who's team lost in OT today could be a call up in a couple of weeks if the 67's drop the ball but I don't see them doing so.
Kitsyn's team is still in the playoffs and he is also a winger and I don't think we really need an extra one up right now.
I would hope that with all of these kids that they go to the Monarchs after their respective seasons end. Maybe freeing up a couple of the Manchester kids to the kings.
Kozun would be my first call up.
The problem that we have is that our center depth comes down to players who can fill our bottom 6 spots with the exception of Schenn and the injured Loktionov.
If we brought up Azevedo or even Holloway ( who has played center in his career) they could fill Lewis and
Zues spots and allow them to move up. Those two could come up and do a solid job in limited roles for us.
You could add Elkins and Cliche onto that same list I guess. If you brought up one of those four kids we can fill Kopi's spot without leaving a hole elsewhere or you could swap Ritchie to center and bring up Kozun and then swap Moller to center and bring up Brown to the top line to balance it out.
We have options but it means gutting Manchester which to some extent is what they are there for though only in emergencies and this qualifies as such.

Thank you. My next question was one that you brought up just now, and that is can Dean Lombardi find a way to "cheat" and work around that rule like other teams seem to always find a way to do?
Basically a round and a half if everything goes right and this team pulls together like they should. Just gotta get in and the team has to play all the way up to their ability as we've been wanting them to do all season.
without the two best offensive players, the Kings are pretty much the Nashville Predators now. Strict systematic approach to every single game from here on out.
That was nasty fall and it was clear Kopitar was in pain. Didn't look good at all.
