At least it's not a 6 month ACL injury, plus all of next year having to play it into game shape.

The season isn't over yet though. Everyone else still has a job to do.

Bring on the Cup!
If the playoffs were just penalty shootouts, I'm pretty sure Stoll would win MVP an hoist the Cup with ease.

Anyone else think Parse might get a shot on the first or second line as a center when he returns?

Lewis did show the hands of a first round pick on that goal today. Let's hope he gains some confidence if given a bigger offensive role.

That's awful. I've loved watching Kopitar play each night.

I would be shocked if the Kings miss the playoffs. Terry's offense doesn't rely on skill and creativity. It's a very simple offense and can still score at the same clip without Kopitar.

The PP does have to be better in the playoffs for the Kings to win a round. The defense is still one of the best in the west.

Nope. No skilled centers available. Could move Moller to the middle and call up another winger. Could move Lewis into a top 6 role and call up Cliche.

If we get the Coyotes or Predators, we can still win.

If we get the Canucks, Wings, or Hawks, we're swept and gonna be out in four quick squashes.

Only positive is that there is way less pressure now. If we get to the 2nd round that pretty much equals a Cup final for me.

We're not going to get swept. This team is more than Kopitar and just a bunch of regular dudes. If you think this team is bad enough to get swept without Kopitar, then they'd probably be a lottery team in the first place.

Kings won't be swept. Defense is too strong. Winning four will be tough, but not impossible.

Maybe the Kings' opponent will have similar injuries? No way to know right now.

Correct. The only "centers" available are Moller, Lewis, and Richardson. I have a feeling Richardson and Handzus will end up being the second and third line centers in the playoffs respectively. Schenn is our only other possible center call-up for a top 6 role other than Loktionov who is obviously not available also.

I also wanted to remind everyone that when the Ducks lost Getzlaf they went on a seven game winning streak.

C'mon people, stop crying. It is a TEAM game.

Sturm just scored for Washington.

Would be a nice option.

Not saying it is better, but the team may take on more responsibility making them work harder and hopefully that can result in wins! GKG!

Unfortunately, Cliche is hurt. He was scratched last night and again tonight. According to the Monarchs facebook page, he had surgery on an injured thumb and is "week-to-week".

Penner played some center in Edmonton, if anything he'd move to the middle to make room for Parse on the left. Then when you consider that Lewis, Richardson, and Moller were all drafted as Centers I don't see any situation where Parse wouldn't stay on the wing.

Everybody has to step up. First thing is to make the playoffs. If they get in who knows.

Can't Schenn be called up if it's an emergency? Basically all the top centers for Manchester are out...come on.
