The Kings can show their true character if they can band together and work though this. It will still be tough, but this will not be an excuse to miss the playoffs. Give him a chance to get back in.
I would be shocked if the Kings miss the playoffs. Terry's offense doesn't rely on skill and creativity. It's a very simple offense and can still score at the same clip without Kopitar.
The PP does have to be better in the playoffs for the Kings to win a round. The defense is still one of the best in the west.
We're not going to get swept. This team is more than Kopitar and just a bunch of regular dudes. If you think this team is bad enough to get swept without Kopitar, then they'd probably be a lottery team in the first place.
Nope. No skilled centers available. Could move Moller to the middle and call up another winger. Could move Lewis into a top 6 role and call up Cliche.
Correct. The only "centers" available are Moller, Lewis, and Richardson. I have a feeling Richardson and Handzus will end up being the second and third line centers in the playoffs respectively. Schenn is our only other possible center call-up for a top 6 role other than Loktionov who is obviously not available also.

Unfortunately, Cliche is hurt. He was scratched last night and again tonight. According to the Monarchs facebook page, he had surgery on an injured thumb and is "week-to-week".
Anyone else think Parse might get a shot on the first or second line as a center when he returns?
Penner played some center in Edmonton, if anything he'd move to the middle to make room for Parse on the left. Then when you consider that Lewis, Richardson, and Moller were all drafted as Centers I don't see any situation where Parse wouldn't stay on the wing.
