Look at his salary. Playing or sitting, his filthy rich. I'd be smiling and joking all the time too.

Pretty scary to think we have 23M tied up in Cammy, Plek, Gionta and Gomez. 3 of them are good players but none are elite, 4 are small, 2 are mostly just scorers, and 1 should be in the AHL.

JM is going to fix the problem by giving gomez 40minutes next game and benching Eller, Desharnais and Pouliot entirely.

I think there's a rule somewhere that if the Habs make the playoff's they must finish 8th..

Which is why this team will fail if they continue with that archaic mindset. We should be hiring the best available, not whoever can speak French.

Why not... soft as butter team, crippled by injuries and shutout 3 games in a row... I'd be thinking about it also...

With the way the Habs are playing, along with the fact that they are just seven points back and hold a game in hand, I'm not shocked.

With both the Rags and Sabres stepping up their games and looking like they actually want to make the playoffs and then we have the Habs playing like crap catching the Habs might be their only shot of getting in..

next game we need to dress one of Weber or Picard who are more offensive defenseman and could somewhat play the 2nd pp unit.

then

Cammalleri Plekanec Gionta
Kostitsyn Desharnais Eller
Pouliot Gomez White
Pyatt Halpern Moen

That should not be such an important part of the equation. Give me someone who can do the job and is truly a fresh face to the organization. However, I know there are political considerations in having a francophone assistant and an anglophone GM. I know anglophone management of Quebecois institutions and economic organizations it has been a perennial issue in Quebec politics in the last hundred years or so hence the reticence in having an anglophone GM. MODS: Feel free to delete this post if you deem it inappropriate.

As for the display of hockey in the last two weeks, pathetic.

So if we go five games in a row without scoring does that mean that La Cage au Sport will give away free plates of donuts?

maybe he was laughing at how ridiculous the situation was with AKost making a ridiculoius turnover that resulted in a 2 on 0. But know, he was just being a jokester and having a jolly time.

Is there a place on this site for player discussion. i'd like to post how BP never lets a body check get in the way of an attempted sweep check. i have never seen anyone try a lazy sweep check more than him

This has been the Habs' problem for the last 20 years. No star forwards. There is no guy on this team you can double shift and hope to get some sort of spark offensively. No one that will ever get close to a PPG. The last Hab star forward was Kovalev and that was only one season.

They need to use some assets to trade for one in the offseason because there is no way they get one in the draft.

J'ai vécu un moment historique ce soir...même le vénérable Red Fisher n'avait jamais vu le CH se faire blanchir 3 fois de suite!

PK is the only asset we could trade to get that.

Fired Martin and Bench Gomez.

And fired Gauthier and get rid of the "small but skill" mentality.

He himself said he wanted to work for Montreal and was surprised when they didn't offer him the job.
