That last minute was just embarrassing. All summed up with our defenseman falling over with nobody around him.

This team just doesn't look interested. There wasn't an ounce of urgency from the first minute to the last and it was no surprise when Boucher lets in another bad goal to cost us the game.

Who needs wins or this 'momentum' thing anyway?

Can Lavi just punish these guys now?

inb4 another "They need rest, I pushed them too hard / I thought we played good just didn't turn out the way we wanted it" comment

EDIT: at least he's not pulling an Andy Reid and blaming himself for everything

Yeah we took care of business against a clearly inferior team last night but couldn't handle the real competition tonight.

This is definitely worrisome.

This team is embarrassingly underwhelming. We can't beat the teams we need to beat in the east? We can't even seem to GET UP for the teams that are 2 and 4 points below us in the standings? This is ****ing ridiculous. Good luck in the playoffs, jack *****

We played bad but so did Boston.

I mean it sucks we couldn't keep the point streak alive; but you can't win em all so whatever.

I hope the Flyguys take all their frustration out on the Pens and destroy them 252-0

Oh wait I meant 252-1

On a good note, we won't be "the team to beat" in the playoffs. I am not comfortable in the #1 spot - I think it puts a target on your back. We'll end up being a 4th seed at best, but that's OK I think.

Oh wait I meant 252-1
that would be impossible
once they get a one goal lead, they sit back and wait for them to score
by then its too late, and now, they are losing and can't recover

if they happen to get games that are 3 or 4 - 1, then, they were just shooting at the net, and it happened to go in by fluke. they weren't REALLY trying to score

seems they need to watch re-runs of last years stanley cup playoff run to get their motivation back.

A 4th seed equals being bounced in 5 by the Lightning, I want no parts of them. We're a better team, but for some reason we just don't play well against them.

Everyone knew these games would tell us a lot about where this teams stands, and for the first time all year I'm a little worried. If they plat a flat, lazy, sloppy game again on Tuesday I won't know what to think about them.

If this team loses in the first round of the playoffs, it might actually be worse than the season that we sucked because at least then we knew that we sucked by like 1/3 of the way through the year.

It'll be fun when Pittsburgh catches them, wins the division, the Flyers get Tampa Bay and lose in five games. ****ing clowns.

He needs to be moved back to the wing. He can't play C against good teams. In the third he was the 'deep' man in the slot as Hartnell charged into the corner and Leino tried to pick up the puck behind the net. The Bs got it out clean so you know what that means - a clear 3 on 2 as Briere lost his man (Bergeron) who beat him to the net by 20 feet. Pathetic really. Briere can't check anyone, and he hurts the team. He used to make up for it by contributing on the PP. Not lately.

Laviolette is wasting the season with his loyalty to the Hartnell-Briere-Leino line. They just suck right now. Carter needs to play C - it's just stupid to have your best centre playing RW when Briere is playing so badly. And the only time Briere's done anything in the last two months was when Lavy moved him to a line with Giroux and Carter...yet he somehow didn't seem to notice.

I agree; fourth on the team in points and second in goals, he has been a total non-factor.

While I'm not a big fan of Briere at center, the line is respective 2nd, 3rd, and 6th on the team in GFON/60, and 2nd, 3rd, and 7th on the team in +/-ON/60.

They haven't been that great of late, but it is also difficult to break up a line that has been that productive for you... especially when you're in the process going to mess up the Giroux-Carter setup that has been our most dynamic pair the last couple of months.
