The Flyers have never drafted a Russian in the 1st round, so this could be interesting with the Flyers potentially having a top 6 pick.
It's from a Russian newspaper.

Biggest X factor in the draft, could go #5 or #20. If I put money on it I would say he goes around #12

Flyers will probably end up taking Nurse, Lightning or CBJ (if they take a chance) take Nichushkin. Big forward that is physical and can score is exactly what Columbus needs, and if Nichushkin can learn to move the puck more (which i've heard he is getting better and less selfish at) he'll make a great linemate with Stamkos in Tampa. I think that's where he'll end up.

My bet is Tampa grabs him. Stevie Y loves his Russians, and Tampa has enough young offensive depth that they can afford to let him stay in Russia for a few years, just like they're letting Connolly develop slowly

My vote is Edmonton. They desperately need a big top-6 forward. Yakupov would be a perfect "Malkin's Gonchar" for Valera.

I hope motivation isn't a problem (it hasn't been before), but Nichushkin is playing some really uninspired and stupid hockey right now.

I understand the U18 may feel like a huge let down coming from the KHL finals...but cmon kid.

I hope he wakes up for the finals.

He is 1st overall material.

Did he actually sign to the KHL longer? Crazy, Some of those owners are super rich. The Kuznetsov route.

Definitely. He showed flashes of his talent, but he didn't seem to have his heart in it, probably the let-down from the KHL playoff loss. Got shown up by Buchnevich last game, who deserves a shoutout for being an amazing hockey player.

its better way for him / we are too different for young guys integration in his age - europeans have more similiraritys than russians
Kuz have another problems too - he was knee injured in juniors and he makes some cash for his family because this is too dangerous injure for career
so 20 yrs will perfect age for his NHL debut

I agree- they would love to have him sitting on the off-wing with Yakupov.

That's exactly what Edmonton needs, another guy who lacks emotion and consistency in his game.

Valeri Nichushkin says he likes #Flyers & #Rangers most of all, wants to spend summer in NA to train hard #NHLdraft2013
I have no idea how the Rangers could get him without any picks in the 1st 2 rounds....

I doubt he knows that they don't have a pick.

Seems to have gotten going in the U18. Scored a hat trick vs Germany in the Quarters. Goes up against the US in the Semis. One of the most polarizing prospects in this years draft class for sure.

There is a chance that he will leave Russia this year.
At least Traktor's GM said Nichushkin salary will be increased if he decide to stay in Russia.
This is Russia, nothing is impossible .
