I don't get why Martin is against having both Subban and Wiz out on the point. It gives them three scoring threats from outside, Subban on the left point with Wiz feeding him, Wiz on the right point with Cammy feeding him, and Cammy at the right circle with Wiz feeding him, that's what I'd do anyways but I've never coached a day in my life. I can understand he doesn't really want to have both Hammer and Mara on the ice at the same time, but we need goals.
If you think about it, I don't think I would want to be an Atlanta fan right now...
Sure, the Habs have struggled a lot. But we haven't scored in three games, struggling a lot, so much pressure on the whole team to pot one... I'd be nervous to face the Habs tonight.
Feels like we are a boiling pot that is about to explode.
Don't really have a problem with the powerplay combos for now except for Darche not being included. Other than that it's not like one combination has been outstanding at any point this season including Wiz and Subban on the points. When that was tried I can remember both of them being rather stationary and Subban getting more shots than Wiz.
If the units gain the zone I'd look for more movement at the points with Hamrlik looking for Wiz and / or going back door. I'd look for the same from Mara on the second unit.
Cammalleri and Gomez not fumbling the ball would be nice. Hamrlik holding the zone would be nice. I am glad to see Plekanec off of the point for sure. I can't think of a positive experience from that experiment.
Nine whole periods without a goal. If this team goes 10 periods without one, I fear the crowd will grow impatient quickly. I hope the Habs can strike early, strike a few more times and win the game. Not just for the crowd, but for themselves.
