Every photo of Neuvirth looks like he's just about to ask his crush that he's never talked to to the homecoming dance. The kid's play is amazing, but he always looks nervous/confused when you see his face.

@Foy: Dude annoyed me at first. Tons of RTs. Stuck with him. Started to get some good info eventually. I figured there would be some transition. I think he'll be great for those of us trying to quickly gather info. Good interviews/quotes lately.

I am going to be stuck with the Carolina feed tonight. I am in the Carolina zone and they black out Joe B and Locker. I hope for tonight is to avoid any "That's hockey, Baby!" and keep "Hey, Hey what do you say???" out of tonights game vocabulary

I will be listening to the Carolina feed as well since it will probably be the only one in HD as it's on the local channels here. I just love Center Ice and the up to TWO games a night I get in HD.

Saw the article. What are the chances both Ovi and Arnott play tonight?

Via Twitter, Mike Vogel, Stephen Whyno, Katie Carrera are reporting both are playing.

If you really don't want the Carolina feed, try this tonight. The feed isn't always great, but if you're desperate for Joe B & Locker then it's okay.

I can't tell if that's a smile or what.

EDIT: To this day, I feel absolutely no animosity toward the 'Canes. Their fans on HF are generally cool, and the Caps and Canes haven't ever really been rivals.

Whyno is information overload. It take some getting used to, but I feel more up to speed than I ever have thanks to him.

Agreed. The Hurricanes play a hard-nosed style, their franchise icons, Francis and Brind'Amour, embody everything you'd want in a player, and the teams have never played in the playoffs. There is a lot more animosity between the Hurricanes and the Florida teams, probably Atlanta, and maybe even Montreal for the post-lockout playoff history.

Washington-Carolina? Almost entirely benign relationship, even when both teams have been respectable or better at the same time. The games are rough, but generally fair. Would charges of diving divers increase if they met in the playoffs? Probably, but that hasn't happened.

And most specifically Whyno's reporting that Chimera and Beagle both confirmed out.

the players dont feel that way, though. there is a very competitive edge there. it never fails that when one of these teams NEEDS to win the other seems to be standing in the way.

Beagle is backup and no surprise to be scratched with a healthy forward group. It appears that Sturm may be playing Chimera out of a sweater.

My sister went to a Caps@Canes game wearing a Backstrom jersey, and she said the fans were pretty awful to her and her friend. But my sister is kind of a *****, though, so she probably had it coming.

I have not had a single Capitals feed yet for NHL Centre Ice. It has always been the other teams. So I don't get to hear Joe B anymore now that Versus let him go.

I imagine the two are back and forth. Sturm scored last game so he gets a sweater tonight, I guess. Wouldn't be surprised to see it reversed on Thursday (plus it's the Jackets)
