And since CSN switched to the wide camera for standard feeds if you are lucky enough to get the Caps feed but it's only in standard def you have a ginormous black rectangle around your screen taking up about 40% of your viewing area.

I'd like them a lot more if they were still the Whalers.

Hartford...? The Whale...? They only beat Vancouver once, maybe twice in a lifetime...

I'd throw Hendricks in that rotation as well depending on performance.

I don't care for the Canes. Partially because I think some of their players are pretty overrated. But I don't really care about them or not.

I haven't had the best experience on the road there, but it hasn't been the worst either.

my first ever game was Caps/Whalers. Yvon Couriveau with the GWG in OT.

I agree that not having met them in the playoffs has something to do with the general sentiment, but I think if the situations had been reversed in '08, there would probably be a lot more animosity towards Canes fans. It's easy to get along with fans of another team when your side has won what was essentially the biggest battle to date.

I wouldnt be shocked if its next year. With the new focus on guys coming back too soon, and wideman in the mix, I am keeping a low expectation bar set on his return date.

And thats fine, its dumb to bring him back to be a punching bag for playoff grade forecheckers dialing in on him.

What??? lol NO CHANCE. Bradley would sit before Hendricks who has been a critical player this year!

Fehr (who has spent time in the doghouse here and in Hershey under BB), Sturm, Chimera, and Bradley be the victims.

This year's playoffs will be a good test in the ongoing "whose fault is it?" experiment. After that, we need the Caps+Green-Semin. The last few years have been the control experiment.

Bradley's bigger, a better skater and better defensively. Hendricks has been trusted to kill penalties whereas Bradley hasn't this season and Hendricks is the better offensive player but if your talking purely about forechecking and two-way play I'd take Bradley.

I'd prefer both in the lineup personally. But has Hendricks even been a healthy scratch this year? I am honestly not sure he has.

Everyone should be getting a rest here or there before the playoffs. While I'd typically go with benching the unproductive player, I'm more concerned about rest.

Knubes needs to sit for a game or two. Ovi and Backstrom will have a good rest. Green too. Give Semin another game off soon. Then just rotate through. Sturm has missed a lot. I'd play him throughout the rest of the games.

I'd even be happy seeing TFS in for Hannan and Wideman for a game each by the end of the season.

The Caps are going to miss Chimera's speed. Is he the odd man out, are we resting players or is he sick? I have not seen Chimera take a day off when playing and I love the way he can get to the puck first. Granted, he has stone hands, but I don't see how he played his way out of the lineup.

Hendricks has missed just a few games, all but maybe one due to injury IIRC. Agree that both fit the fourth line well. It could be Fehr that sits as well, assuming he's healthy and all. Performance and line construction ought to be keys and it's good to have the ability to keep the depth forwards hungry and accountable.

Perhaps you'll be hearing quite a bit of "and Michael Neuvirth says No!"

This is probably why I am not getting it this year. My Cable company has switched the feed to MPEG4 and they are only using HD feeds. They no longer have NHL Centre Ice on Standard Feed. Thanks for the explanation.

The Neuvy photo looks something like, "Dad, about your car" kinda look.

Washington-Carolina? Almost entirely benign relationship, even when both teams have been respectable or better at the same time. The games are rough, but generally fair. Would charges of diving divers increase if they met in the playoffs? Probably, but that hasn't happened.
Except for Rutherford taking GMGM to the cleaners on the Corvo deal. BTW how's Osala doing?

End of season, Capitals puck supply getting low. Equipment boy advises Leonsis of the issue. Leonsis makes a management decision, need to conserve pucks sit Chimera.
