I guess we should expect the dim-wit coach to keep trotting out Brunette-Koivu-Miettinen. Season's over, Todd.

I'd expect the league to take a look at that hit. The one angle shows a pretty high shot.

Ha. The Blues feed only showed one angle..

Oh, if I see nothing on the main board, I guess that wasn't a headshot. Seriously, I need to see the other angle.

There's like two Blues fans and one Wild fan on HF. No one's saying anything about it.

lay down the pipe. blues feed has one angle from behind the glass and even their announcers say shoulder to shoulder. his head just bobbled into the glass when he hit.

Well happy Tuesday to you too.

Its not that we "don't" need Burns, but the fact that we need goal scorers more, If we can get goal scoring in exchange for Burns, who is going to take us to the cleaners on his new contract, then I say get rid of him while we can still get max value.

Is Burns our best D-man, the reality is probably yes. But He is more valuable as trade bait now, then he really is to the team.

Add to the fact we have no proven prospects to come in and score, and no 2nd round pick, it really appears that the best long term option for the Wild is to trade Burns.

Scandella, Prosser, Stoner, Falk, etc can fill the empty spot ... I don't expect them to replace his scoring, but that is what the person we trade him for is supposed to bring.
But one of those guys can eat up the extra ice time.

Bottom line, do you actually expect the Wild to cruise thru the league next year and win the Cup? Really? If not then, why not play the kids and start building towards a real shot in 2013 when our horrible contracts start coming off the books.

Last I checked, this was board was about posting ideas, views, and opinions. I wasn't aware we had to run all of our posts by your first to gain your approval.

But hey, what do I know? I'm just one barely competent retard.

Because most of our kids are either 18 and not ready for the NHL or grinders with no high-end talent. Or both. Either way we're still paying for years of bad drafting and will for the next couple years.

EDIT: To be fair, Minnesota is in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.

Pull up the video. The behind the glass view is not the good one. The good one is looking at it from the side. Plus, the rule doesn't even require head contact to have been made.

burns is third in points and tied for fifth in goals on the wild. subtracting him and adding a goalscorer that is within our price range isn't going to make a positive difference.

who said you couldn't post your ideas? sounds like you're the one offended by someone else posting theirs.

do i expect a cup next year? LOL. By assuming we'd just give the kids time and experience to make a run the next year is assuming that this goal scorer we got for burns will be on a contract for that long. That's a huge assumption. more likely he'll be on the nearly done end of his contract and we'll have to re-sign him the same summer we're set to take the cup run. will he be jazzed to be here knowing we're just waiting around for bottom four defensemen to magically turn into top pairing defensemen?
