Probably no chance he plays at home the 5th, right?
Guess I'll have to splurge for a home playoff game.
I can't see him playing Tuesday. I think the Atlanta game is the best bet. That will probably give them enough time to have a few non-contact practices, then slowly ramp up contact while also giving him some days off to make sure he's responding well. I can't see them rushing anything and Tuesday seems like it would be rushed to me.
Of course, not like I really know anything about this situation, but that just makes sense to me.
PENS TEXT ALERT: GM Ray Shero: Sidney Crosby "will join team for morning skate, but will not full practice. We have no expectations for return in reg season."
Just came to post this
I am reading thise, the same time I am listening to the yahoos on 93.7 say it is "2-3 weeks". One coming from the team, the other coming from a "news source", who has media members at practice, and they are that far apart? Does not compute.
Still think the team is just bs'ng everyone and are just taking it ridiculously cautious. Why just morning skates? I'm pretty sure if he's cleared by doctors for morning skates he should be cleared for practice. It just so happens that the next practice is a morning skate. It doesn't make sense to throw him in a playoff game before any regular season games so I still suspect he will play in the final regular season game (if he is to return this season).
He's not coming back this regular season, there's just not enough time. 12 days to take morning skates, full practices (no contact) and then full practices with contact is just not enough time. And because of that I don't think we'll see him this season and I wouldn't want Crosby to jump into playoff games without any 'seasoning'. I'm all for him coming back with a few regular season games but there isn't enough time so I hope we don't see him until next fall.
