Probably no chance he plays at home the 5th, right?

Guess I'll have to splurge for a home playoff game.

That's what a few of us are speculating too...
April 5th seems a little too rushed. I don't think it's out of the question but i think April 8th is more likely.

I can't see him playing Tuesday. I think the Atlanta game is the best bet. That will probably give them enough time to have a few non-contact practices, then slowly ramp up contact while also giving him some days off to make sure he's responding well. I can't see them rushing anything and Tuesday seems like it would be rushed to me.

Of course, not like I really know anything about this situation, but that just makes sense to me.

I'm saying the 8th at the latest, if all goes to plan.

5th would be SWEET though for the home crowd, but that'll just make the playoff opener THAT much more exciting!

We got to ahead of ourselves... he has only been cleared to participate in morning skates not full practices and Shero said he has no expectation for Crosby to return this season

I expect him to practice with the team (non-contact) for a week, and then a full week of practice with contact. So I'd be very surprised if he returned "8th at the latest".

I'll be at the game on the 8th so that could be interesting...

Would be pretty sick if that's his 1st game back

"Crosby cleared for practice, will travel with team"

Should have said:

"Crosby to take morning skates, will travel with team"

Those two statements are a bit different.

Just came to post this

I am reading thise, the same time I am listening to the yahoos on 93.7 say it is "2-3 weeks". One coming from the team, the other coming from a "news source", who has media members at practice, and they are that far apart? Does not compute.

Still think the team is just bs'ng everyone and are just taking it ridiculously cautious. Why just morning skates? I'm pretty sure if he's cleared by doctors for morning skates he should be cleared for practice. It just so happens that the next practice is a morning skate. It doesn't make sense to throw him in a playoff game before any regular season games so I still suspect he will play in the final regular season game (if he is to return this season).

Good news.

Stage 1: Skate/Workout with no setbacks - COMPLETE
Stage 2: Practice (non-contact)
Stage 3: Practice (full contact)
Stage 4: Play
Stage 5: Profit

He's not coming back this regular season, there's just not enough time. 12 days to take morning skates, full practices (no contact) and then full practices with contact is just not enough time. And because of that I don't think we'll see him this season and I wouldn't want Crosby to jump into playoff games without any 'seasoning'. I'm all for him coming back with a few regular season games but there isn't enough time so I hope we don't see him until next fall.
