lol you guys seriously must get off on hating doughty sometimes
dude's behind the friggin net and is the ONLY GUY TO GET BACK, yet the goal is his fault... please
Drew is tryin to spark the offense since nobody on the team can carry the puck into the offensive zone. It is irrelevant whether he passed it or shot it, the forwards were all bunched up and the almighty f3 was nowhere to be found.
The hating on our best players is just reaching critical moronic levels. First drew then Kopi and back to drew.
We need offense in a bad way, our forwards abilities are illustrating exactly what JT was saying.
it's the same when kesler or burrows falls, everyone calls for a dive
it's an emotional game and fans obviously would rib each other, no need to get worked up whether or not a players dives
the canucks dive, but i don't mind... but i guess that makes us bad fans? i don't care how we get pp's as long as we get them... i don't care and neither should you guys
Okay, I'm not going to argue about the dives between players. And nobody said anything about bad fans, wtf?
There is bad officiating in every game, I'm surprised that there always seems to be complaining. I like when the refs are quiet. But, whatever. It is what it is. The Kings need all the help they can get anyways
The Kings are doing absolutely nothing with the puck, other than watching it and constantly chasing it. They have no speed whatsoever. To think they had a chance to win against a fast team, not to mention the top team in the league, was laughable. They are being outmatched physically and out chanced offensively. This is a mismatch folks.
See, I'm fine with this. Drew screwed up. He followed up a bad decision not to shoot with an even worse pass. Had Smyth been where he should have been when he saw Doughty up forward, there's probably not a goal resulting from the bad pass though (I'll give Smyth's defense the benefit of the doubt in fantasy land). Doughty's culpable and he tried to do too much (although I don't really fault him in total there since we need him, Jack, and A-mart to take those chances or we won't score enough). He's not solely responsible though. I'm not surprised it was Smyth though that didn't stay back.
Expecting Smyth to make the right defensive read is an exercise in futility.
I'm fine with Doughty jumping up and joining the attack, but he needs to shoot the puck. He's done the over passing all season and I wish he would just shoot it.
The Kings chances tonight were pretty slim, I just wish the Kings best player didn't make the same mistake twice in one period to give up the lead after he made a great play to give the Kings the lead in the first place.
Overall, the Kings haven't been that bad tonight. If they keep the intensity up against Dallas on Saturday, they should win.
