let the canes win and help knock the rags out of the playoffs again!

I would be ever so happy if the rags never make the playoffs again!

Yeah - there's a lot to like. Burmi's game is coming around and Evander just keeps getting stronger and Bogos improved. And Zuby in the system with Kulda and Postma?

I think everyone sees now why @NSH was too early to throw Zubarev under the bus. His game was brutally bad, no question, but he was much improved tonight.

It's all in the system, and lack of continuity between Chicago and Atlanta.

The relationship between the Thrashers and Wolves is not a good one. I did take into account that several first rounders have skipped the AHL completely, but still.

Did some research recently, the Thrashers do not have a single player on their roster who has played more than 60 games in the NHL over the past 3 seasons and over 60 games at the AHL level at any point. (Let me clarify, that the Thrashers drafted or traded for and would be considered a prospect and not a journeyman or vet.) The Detroit Red Wings, who just seem to reload when needed, have 7 current players on their roster who fit this criteria. The Thrashers are not developing players. I blame the Wolves to an extent, but the Thrashers are the NHL team and they are suppose to be responsible for developing players and are not. The Thrashers need to change affiliates to a organization where they can match philosophies and can have their prospects develop. Kulda is finishing his third season in Chicago, he should be ready to step into the Thrashers line up at this point. Not picking on him just using as an example. Three seasons is enough time to develop at a level and move onto the next. In a salary cap day and age, developing cheap talent (players on ELC) is paramount to helping squads balance out the books, fill out rosters, and have good squads.

Have any teams changed affiliates recently?

Also, who would we change to? Too bad Gwinnett isn't AHL since they're so close.

Re: changing affiliates to one that promotes player development

Where does the impetus for organizational change come from; the owner? the GM?

Imo, it should come from the owners, no? I'm not sure anyone can pretend to know what that multi-headed beast is thinking, but from the Septotard's perspective, what (if any) motivation is there for change?

That would seem to be a redundant question (to any of us), but their history has proved otherwise.

A more discerning owner with a eye on marketing, could make a case for an AHL team even in our neighboring states (AL or SC) in order to cultivate a broader regional fan base.

Blame Waddell for that: 1. In rushing players to the NHL too quickly like Bogosian. 2. Abysmal drafting. 3. Terrible asset management.

The Wolves are but a small part of the problem.

Just saw it on the official team board, but this is our first win by more than one goal since December 20

MOD NOTE....

Fans from other teams, please don't come here and thank the Thrashers for the loss. It'll be considered trolling and you will be infracted.

Ramsay needs to ****ing get mad, he has no fire out there. Oh my god. Didn't he play for Buffalo? Someone show him Brett Hull in '99 or something.

Way too many garbage efforts like that in the 2nd half of the season.

At some point someone within the organization has to hold the players accountable for it.

Get blown out at home - CHECK

Buff makes lazy play that costs us a goal - CHECK

Prevent getting shutout in 3rd - CHECK

Have Erik Cole score the GW - CHECK

Ramsay calls timeout 2 goals too late - CHECK

Allow back to back goals in under 2 minutes(special edition tonight with 3 in under 3) - CHECK

Did I miss anything?

Nope that's about right.

It's rare that my nightly prophecy of a 6-1 game takes an opposite turn on me. I hear you mythical gods, I hear you.

I understand now what I must do...

Where am I. Oh yeah, Thrashers win 6-1..

Wait.
