Approaching playoffs, thats just how all of our games, here on out, are going to be. Its harder, but at the same time its a lot more fun."

It kind of takes the wind out of the sails. We kind of sat back and when you have a team like that they're going to shove it down your throat if you're going to sit back and not attack, weve just got to move on. Its kind of the playoffs now, very similar to that, so youve got to forget it and move on."

I thought we matched that and were ready to go. We played well and got that first goal, which is important, and things were going along pretty well. The play, I thought we tried to do a little too much with the puck in the first period. We settled that out in the second, and we had a better attitude with it, and what we wanted to do. The compete was great. The team play really picked up, I thought, as far as execution in the second period. We gave ourselves an opportunity to win the game, Unfortunately we were the ones that gave them the opportunity to win the game."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Due to our offense we need Quick to not let in more than 1.

Quick needs to just start winning games on his own. He should just shut them out, take it to a shootout, stop 24-25 shots, and then go to the bench, get a stick and score the winning shootout goal.

I want to see team-wide physical play. They were best against Vancouver when they were consistently taking the body.

There's been goalies that have been made their team's captain for doing less.

win this game and they are all but in the playoffs. Lose and its gets a bit iffy. Probably the most important game of the season so far

According to the Dallas Stars blog, they may opt to dress 7 defensemen.
http://starsblog.dallasnews.com/arch...l-practic.html

The report listed the following two lines from the Stars' practice:

Benn-Richards-Eriksson
Morrow-Ribeiro-Burish

Let's hope the Kings defense is ready to clamp down and play an aggressive game against the Dallas forwards. I expect them to come out flying and playing physically. The Kings need to win a low-scoring battle, they can't afford to take chances and swap scoring chances with the Stars, they don't have the finesse nor the firepower to match up with Dallas's offense.

A regulation win and we are in. Calgary would no longer be able to catch us and Dallas would be 9 back with 5 games and 4/5 teams between us.

Lose - especially in regulation - and I think we have serious reason to be concerned. Dallas would all of sudden be 5 back with an extra game and a considerably easier schedule. Given how absurdly streaky LA has been and the fragile psyche this offense probably has, a 6 game losing streak to end the season is plausible if we lose.

So - yeah - this is the biggest game of the season.

... It's not the psyche that should cause concern - it's the level of talent/experience. The Kings just have to somehow find a certain combination that will work tomorrow and hope for a bounce or two, without sacrificing their defense. The margin for error is not high, and there's pressure involved, but that's why they play the game. If I'm an NHL player, I'd prefer a pressure situation than playing out the string or trying to be a spoiler.

First game without Kopitar/Williams basically went how all the other games with them went. We won a comfy game where we controlled it all the way through.

Second game without them was the same thing. The game was a carbon copy of the Canucks/Kings game in LA a few weeks before. We went up early, gave up goals late, and then self combusted due to stupid penalties and frustration. It was even the same score.
