I'll be at this for my Nick Backstrom Bobblehead.

Hope this Collins guy isn't a full on traffic cone, our blue line is hanging by a thread now. I'd very much like to see a win tonight, since Miller and Leopold are both out, but I think Buffalo will go "Cornered Animal Attack" mode and possibly surprise us.

Anyone know anything about this Enroth guy outside of his stats? .915 SV% 2.45 GAA but it's only over 9 games played this season.

Caps can move into first in the conference with a win.

Let's do it.

how many games has holtby played? caps should lose this one. buffalo has to win or else. sloan and collins i'll bet are a pair. to win the caps win need an "A" game goalie performance and one of the stars to have a multi point game.

i dont see boudreau putting excessive pressure on the 4 regular defensemen to significantly reduce the minutes of the other two. in fact i would not be surprised to see boudreau force that issue a little. If collins and sloan play 16:00 and go -3, so be it.

This is what I'm afraid of, though I can understand why it needs to be this way. Our remaining D don't need to eat up long minutes in a game that for all intents and purposes doesn't matter. Besides, 1st seed means NYR. **** that.

I assume the bottom pair get 12-14 minutes, but special teams will be a factor in the minutes.

Arnott looking for goal #400 in game number 1171.

its unfortunate, but right now the remaining d need to be protected. thats the opposite of exposing them to extended playing time.

1st seed means Philly and Boston get to beat each other up in round 2. Besides after this game its all downhill. Just win, baby.

It's just a guessing game as it relates to how the ice time will play out, especially with special teams, etc. It's not like Erskine gets a lot of ice time on a regular basis.

Go Caps!

I saw him play couple of nights ago against NYR, in 1-0 shutout win the guy looked solid.

Here we go, for #1 spot on the East, would love to see OV get to 30 this game.

Why stop at 30? Get him 31 and 32 as well so he can get #300 at home.

Enroth is very small, 5'9 160 something pounds. He's quick not particularily strong from what I saw from him.

Very small, average goalie at home should equal a win.

just an FYI to all attending this game. show some respect to a great official tonight.
According to NHL.com the NHL's most senior referee is working his last game on Saturday. After 1737 games, Bill McCreary will be calling it a career after reffing the Buffalo Washington game. enjoy!

Is it fitting that Shaone Morrisonn will be playing in McCreary's final game?

(ShaMo is in tonight, right?)
