So how big is tomorrows game eh? Or any of the last 4?

Looks like it could come right down to the wire this season.

Philly have won only 8 out of their last 21 games. We can beat them tommorow. We've done it before, dont see why we cant do it again.

Buffalo better beat Canes in regulation tommorow.

So it's:

6. Canadiens 91 Points
7. Sabres 88 Points
8. Rangers 87 Points
---------------------------
9. Hurricanes 86 Points

Definitely need the Sabres to win tomorrow but we HAVE to take care of our own business.

I think if we split the back to backs between Philly and Boston we're in good shape. Tomorrow's not a must win but it would be huge if we can win. I have a good feeling about tomorrow too, I don't know why. Team plays great in games they shouldn't win.

I actually think the Rangers have a better chance of keeping the Sabres out than the horseshoe up their a$$ crack Hurricanes.

The Sabres schedule is more difficult than the Hurricanes'.

I honestly do not think there is a luckier team in all of hockey than the Hurricanes.

I am starting to HATE them.

Here's an idea, stop hating on other teams for not helping us, if you take care of your own business you won't need help from other teams!

That would be fine, but when a team goes 8-1-1, and then loses points when they don't even play, has ONE bad game, then sees their lead shrink to 1 point, help from other teams is necessary.

If the Rangers went something like 6-3-1, yeah, then there's some take care of your own business points to be made, but to basically play almost perfect result hockey and LOSE GROUND is almost mathematically impossible, yet, it happened.

I have serious doubts we make the playoffs for the first time all season. A loss tomorrow and I'm off the ledge.

When was the last time we were in 9th place for more than 1 game? If it would happen now, in the last games, it would suck so bad that I wouldn't be able to stand it. Last seasons last game still haunts me...

You really do worry me sometimes, I really hope you're not suicidal over the Rangers.

I mean we are all die hard Rangers fans (for the most part) and we are used to failure, this shouldn't be anything new to you.

I don't know man you just worry me a little.

This is NOT failure. Now, if they were to go and lose the next four, then yes, it is.

This is having LIGHTS OUT RESULTS (8-1-1), then LOSE POINTS without even playing last Tuesday night, play a desperate Buffalo team on Wednesday and lose 1-0 in a game that was nowhere near as bad as the majority seems to think, then play ONE BAD GAME on Thursday.

What has happened in the East over the past month is almost mathematically impossible. The Rangers, the Hurricanes, the Sabres, the Devils, and the Maple Leafs have all played about .750 hockey and GAINED NO REAL GROUND.

To play as well as the Rangers have, and to see them have ONE BAD GAME that could cost them the playoffs because the Carolina Hurricanes have horseshoes stuck up their cracks, isn't just disappointing, it's border-line ridiculous.

No when you don't make the playoffs, no matter the circumstances around it, it is a FAILURE.

Have the Rangers played well? Obviously

But when you DON'T show up for TWO of the BIGGEST GAMES of the season then everything you did in the previous 10-12 games is all for naught. There is no way in hell you can't have these huge games and not show up.

Imo, the Rangers put themselves in this situation with their absenteeism their last two games. So yes congratulations they have played amazingly over the last 10-12 games, but they still possibly will miss the playoffs and yes that is a failure.

It's not bad luck when you lose because you don't show up. It's bad luck when you lose 1-0 to a bad bounce off your own player.

Lol i didn't even think about that. We were ahead of the Canes, then went 8-1-1, then lost 2, and all of a sudden, it's a 1 points lead again.

Wow.

I think he's the reason why it's called "die" hard.

Well, through almost both Feb and March the teams around rangers had many games in hand. I think sabres once had as much as 5 games in hand. Carolina has had about 3 games until now. And they also have been winning most of their games.

So there's your math magic....

I was just watching NHL on the fly...and I don't know what the guy's name is, but they were discussing the eastern playoff race and one of them said that carolina will make it in the playoffs and the rangers will fall out...and today is a MUST WIN for the rangers....well we are underrated underdog again, i hope that encourages them enough.

I guess Buffalo - Carolina winning and tightening everything up again is just asking for trouble.

That said, I feel strong about a Carolina win tonight. At home, had less of a desperate game last night.

Honestly, just no 3 point game. A win by BUF in regulation almost assures a playoff spot. A win by CAR in regulation puts us a point ahead of each of them in 7th place.

I would rather BUF win in regulation but if CAR wins in regulation I am fine with that.

No OT, just finish it in regulation. Who wins is obsolete.
