doesn't Carolina have us in the season series so basically any win by carolina whether its shootout or regulation and they are in.

Btw, isn't it awesome that BUF and CAR have 5 and 6 loser points on us respectively, yet winning in the skills competition isn't a tie breaker? Oh well.

The win pct of the lower seeded teams the last month has been ridiculous..
what happened with all the experts saying 89 points give or take a point would be all that is needed for the east?

Sort out the ******** by having Regulation/OT wins be 3 points, shootout win 2 points, and any loss during OT or the shootout 1 point.

Yea, I do not understand why shootout/overtime wins are punished but the "loser point" is not.

NHL with its obession with parity, should W-L Win Pct% like any other sport, but alas Rangers did it to themselves by not beating Ottawa, Islanders, or Atlanta.
