That would be ideal. I really don't want this coming down to Saturday. I don't think any Ranger fan does.

It was the second worst scenario. The worst being Carolina winning in OT. Any Buffalo win is good for the Rangers, just would have been 100 times better if they won in regulation.

Because you are a Rangers fan and you expect the worst case scenario (as do I usually).

But can you blame NJ for going balls to the wall against us, I mean they have nothing to lose and would love nothing more than to take use down with them (just like the Islanders).

Maybe if the ****ing Canes could start losing games.

Win tomorrow, go poison the Canes and ride easy into the POs.

Canes - Sabres just had to go to OT. At least Canes lost.

According to ESPN.com's current NHL playoff matchups we will be facing off Florida in the first round

I'll take it!

That's what I meant by favorable first round matchups.

But we suck against crappy teams. We only show up against legitimate teams.

As such, give me Philly or Washington rather than Florida in the first round, please!

God ESPN sucks at covering the NHL. Lol that just blew my mind.

Now they have Vancouver in the 8th slot. Tough draw.

Even better is having the Oilers as the first overall seed in the West, playing Chicago lol.

Am I the only one that would be scared if the Rangers played the Panthers in the first round? I think they would beat us lol

Well to be honest they aren't great to begin with.

Anyway, if we can get a W tomorrow against Boston and Carolina gets beat by Detroit on Wednesday (in regulation) we'd be up 4 points with 2 games remaining. 1 point in our last 2 games would clinch a spot. So the first order of business is a HUGE game against the Bruins.

I would be legitimately frightened. I'm dead serious, I'd rather play Vancouver or Philly.

At least on the Rangers sub-forum.

EDIT: Or we could really own it. Let's embrace the word Jessiman for it's true meaning.

Jessiman, noun - "an act or instance of failing epically or proving completely unsuccessful; utter lack of success."

Examples:

Olli Jokinen's 2010 shootout attempt in the final game of the season, with the playoffs on the line, was an utter Jessiman.

Wade Redden's tenure with the Rangers was a Jessiman.
