They healthy scratched him several games ago so maybe it's good they're regaining confidence in him. i mean you don't want him benched in favor of braun or wallin do you?

also the sharks only had 1 pp this game and the second unit didn't even come on plus white has been playing with wallin so that might be reason for low ice time. also i don't have confidence in white defensively. too small.

Strongly disagree. He basically carried Wallin earlier in the year when they were on a pairing together and he also has the highest defensive GVT on the team: http://www.behindthenet.ca/2010/gvt....&team=&pos=ALL

Thoughts on the game:

-Good to see the Sharks win after being down a couple. They didn't have the best start, but they finished well. Personally I thought Heatley and Seto looked awful for stretches of the game, yet they both got goals.

-Ducks first line is so dynamic. I'd put them and the Sedins at the top of the league in terms of one-line dominance. Sharks really have no answer to them nor do they have a first line that does equal damage.

-Murray hit should have been a penalty at worst, but it wasn't dirty. It was a late hit after the shot, but not a malicious one. The refs weren't calling much of anything in terms of penalties all game, so it's understandable why they'd let that one go. I think most fans are more angry with the result, and personally I don't blame them either. From the replay during the game, it looked like Visnovsky just fell awkwardly. Didn't even look like Murray got all of his hit in because Visnovsky sort of fell back to dodge it, though I'd have to take another look at it to be sure.

I will say that I am concerned about our game come Wednesday. The Ducks are the type of team to goon it up in retaliation, and honestly they might not have much to lose if Visnovsky is injured. I could see that game turning out very ugly.

Very nice to see them comeback from a pretty bad 1st period and being down 2 goals. I'm intrigued by the post game drama, but I'm not going to post over there lol. On a lighter note, I asked Randy if there's any possibility of Sharks Late Night Confidential coming back during the playoffs, and he said there's a chance.

Yeah same here. Hopefully Parros will just fight Murray and that'll be the end of it.

Heh, well here's one quote from RC in the NHL.com recap:

Quote:
"Blake has no helmet on, and (Ryane) Clowe hits him in the head with his stick. That's what starts it," Carlyle said. "Two players are kind of mugging one another and we come out of it with a disadvantage. So I felt it's a chicken call in a tight hockey game. ... And then Doug Murray takes a run at Visnovsky from halfway across the ice. I counted the steps, he took five steps, I just watched it. He comes halfway across the rink to run at the guy. But that's OK."

No thank you. Murray is valuable. We got Desjardins/Mayers/Eager for a reason.

Thank you for that. I have no clue how someone could complain about a call on Blake. he basically hogtied Clowe's face.

Yeah but that won't be enough for the *ucks. They'll want Murray and if they can't get him, they may start taking runs at other players.

Just got home from the game. Awesome comeback effort from the Sharks. The RPG line is SCARY, but it is for the most part all the Ducks have. Even so, a playoff series with them would be tough because of that line.

Reading through the GDT I couldn't help but laugh. You always know when its about to be playoff time on HF. The Testosterone starts raging and the flaming grows tenfold.

Murray vs Getzlaf. Thornton vs Perry.

Getz would be busy fighting Murray, so Perry would have no protection.

That non-call on Mitchell was the worst of the game, shockingly I didn't see that mentioned anywhere in fatboy's post-game analysis.

Blake puts Clowe in a head lock and Carlyle complains about that being called a penalty? What a whiner.

Carlyle is just heated after the game, especially one where their best defenseman gets injured and puts their playoffs at risk. Personally I believe a coaching staff should be held at a greater accountability for their words and actions, but I can't say that I blame him for feeling this way right after the game. Given a few hours afterward and after watching the replays, I'm sure he'll be more level-headed and regret some of his pleasantries. No need for name-calling or bashing here.

It was fun watching Carlyles fat-### waddle off the ice at the end of a game. He even resembles a duck, lol.

Jeez, that's some major league whining from Carlyle. The Sharks got one PP all game and it's not because the Ducks were on their best behavior in the least.

Desjardins would have to get picked up off the ice if he fought Parros. Mayers would throw two punches then fall on his back. Eager would do something stupid. Murray would be the best bet to actually fare well against Parros and not get his ass kicked besides Clowe.
