Speculation: Grabo and Kule's next contracts

Both will be getting contracts in a new CBA, so it's really hard to know what things will look like.

I hope not. But I agree, I think Burke would look at dealing Grabo... hopefully the return will ease the pain of losing him.

BTW, I think Kessel is doing better than Grabovski.... He's been playing a lot better and making less 1 dimensional plays.

Grabovski plays a more important position and has been as good or better in all three zones, plays PP and PK. I understand why Kessel gets paid what he does, I'm just pointing out the lack of perspective here.

Maybe maybe not. Both contracts expire before the CBA does.
And ideally I would like to see both guys getting extensions before their contracts expire.
It is possible that the NHL and the NHLPA work out a new CBA before the off season but its doubtful. Both contracts will take place under the new CBA tho.

I really don't think you can give Grabovski a 4.5 contract unless he repeats or does better than this season in 2011-2012

4-4.5 is a good amount for both

He may see Kulemin as a blossoming 30 goal guy but Grabo. will have to repeat for Burke to hand over $4.5 million to both,they aren't his guys.With Kadri and Colburne below,Burke may want to go younger and cheaper with the number 2 center,if he lands a true number one center.Richards,Kadri,Bozak is a nice 1-2-3 for example.Bottom line,Burke won't pay both of them that kind of money.
