Hello all. Long time lurker, first time posting. After watching the Emery spot on CBC last night. I really wanted to try and send an email to him to congratulate him on his amazing recovery and let him know that he still has lots of supporters back in Ottawa.
Does anyone know what the best way to go about this is?
People hate him? He had some attitude problems, we bought him out. I'm happy he's having success else where and he's done nothing but talk great about Ottawa since he left.

Well "hate" is a strong word. Probably not exactly what I meant but I do know many Sens fans were disappointed with Emery and all. I know a few that do not like him because of what has happened.
I would say so, I know I am one of them. Emery has always been on of my favorite goalies, ever since that game against Buffalo when he fought Andrew Peters and Martin Biron with a smile on his face
I was and always will be a big fan of Ray's. Loved him when he played in Ottawa. Gave the team some character and swagger. I'm sure a lot that was written about him in the Ottawa media was blown out of proportion. Not saying he was an "angel" by any means . . . but . . . he was young and had a lot of money. I dare say that some of us here, given the same opportunities/circumstances, might have taken the wrong path once in a while. I'm thankful that he is now on the straight and narrow.
Would love to see him back in Ottawa, but since that won't happen, I wish him all the best wherever he plays.
He's moved past the issues that caused his buy-out and relegation to the KHL. No reason to hold a grudge. I wish current version Ray Emery could've been the one we had, but he probably wouldn't be where he is today without what happened in Ottawa.
Saw Emery in Calgary last Wednesday. As a Senators fan it was the first time I saw him play live. Glad I got the opportunity. Good luck to him and I hope he has continued success, even if it didn't work out between him and our Senators.
