Dave Maloney loses it tonight on Dubinsky's tying goal

I thought this was just hilarious. It sounds like a mix of Howard Dean's scream and a 16 year old girl that was surprised with a new car on her birthday.

I thought there was such joy in it, I won't kill him for doing his usual ooohhs and ahhhs while jumping in over Kenny's calls.

Oh my god it doesn't even sound human.

I'm pretty sure everyone in the Garden made a sound similar to that, too.

It's like he went from play-by-play to yelling for his life and back to normal without missing a beat

How do we know that's Dave and not crowd noise?

Kenny Albert came back and said "and that high pitched primal scream you heard was from my colleague Dave Maloney"

They were both laughing at it the rest of the game and during the postgame when I recorded the audio. It was definitely Dave.

This is epic. Although I think most of us were doing something similar.

watch that goal again and marvel why Kaberle leaves Dubi all alone infront anticipating Cally was going to dump the puck. You'll get an extra kick out of it.

I scared the piss out of my wife who had her back turned at the time when Sauer scored the game winner. That Maloney yell was nothing.

I don't even want to think the noises that would have come out of me had I watched this game live and or on my DVR this morning... unfortunately, someone told me about the outcome while I was at work last night so that moment was taken from me...

I was there, sitting first row in the 400s, I jumped out of my seat and was close to going over. Unbelievable moment. I've never heard the garden that loud.

Kaberle was just letting his long lost brother Dubinsky have his moment in the sun!

As far as Maloney goes, I thought I was listening to a sound clip from Jurrasic Park.

that's a creepy ****in comparison lmao

and although, my voice can naturally go that high (for i am female), i think mine was more of a yell rather than a screech lol but on Sauer's goal, though, i'm pretty sure i screeched. well worth it. STILL smiling.

What he was actually anticipating was the possibility of physical contact in front of the net. Naturally, he went in the opposite direction.
