I'd love to see Tiger win, but I'm not getting too excited yet. He did finish in 4th place just last year when it was his very first tournament back after the fiasco.

I think McIlroy is the real deal, I thought he was going to win a major last year, looks like a 15 year veteran out there.

The Masters is traditionally when everything swings for Woods. It was his first major, then it was his first major after his horrendous slump of 03-04 and now it could be his first major since 2008.

McIlroy is looking great, lets see if he can do it for two more days, has the Tiger crowd directly in front of him though.

Tiger has had a couple of really nice rounds like today, his problem has been following it up with anything but a stinker. Shot 66 to put himself in contention going into Sunday at Pebble Beach, ended up shooting a 75 the next day.

If he can shoot around 70 tomorrow, he should be in good shape.

Does anyone else think it's a load of crap how litter coverage there is though? The other Majors you can find all day live coverage. For the Masters you get 4 1/2 hours. Such "great history and tradition" just gotta make sure no one can watch it.

At least the coverage they have isn't commercial riddled.

I can handle commercials though if it's on all day. Actually today it's only 3 1/2 hours. Tomorrow is 5 hours.

We tried putting it on at work yesterday and there's nothing until 3pm of course. Same thing today, on a weekend. I figured the Golf Channel could at least show things even if it was 10 minutes after it happened.

I guess since the tournament has so many fewer players, they don't bother with extra air time.

Ummm, the masters is covered great. It starts online at around noon, with a bunch of options. 2 featured groups, amen corner, 15 and 16. Check out there website, its awesome. Its gotten a TON better over the years.

Im pretty sure the golf channel has their "Live From" coverage until the broadcast starts on CBS too.

Their "Live From" Coverage is people sitting in rooms talking about players they're not allowed to show.

Ya it sucks. The PGA Championship has the best coverage of any major, but even the US and British have far better coverage than the Masters. I've read it is because the execs at Augusta don't want to over saturate their product and they want it to have a unique feel. They also want to give the 'patrons' exclusive access to the tournament. The online coverage is OK but it's nothing special and it shouldn't be a substitute for live TV coverage. Plus, I want to see more than one or two groups, and more than 3 holes.

Just looking at the scores so far today, looks like the course is playing much harder than it was the first two days. Makes sense. Should be a fun afternoon.

yeah I am well aware , but atleast they are talking about it and they do show updates

Another thing you have to realize too is that this field is much much smaller then the other 3 majors. 99 competitors this year which is the highest total in 40 years.

Tiger may as well withdraw if he can't finish within 2 shots of the leader.

Woods is toast. He had an absolutely terrible round on a day he could have stepped up.

Rory has built an imposing lead.
But he won't be sleeping well tonight, and Tiger will charge tomorrow.

He might be a bit too far out, but I wouldn't put the green jacket on Rory just yet.

I would bet a lot of money against it. Tiger's been a one good round a tourney player for a while now, he'll probably go out and shoot right around even. McIlroy isn't in the clear yet, there's six good players at -7 and -8 and you have to think one will have a good day tomorrow and take a run at him. But I think Rory is playing too good and has too much of a lead for someone to overtake him, Rory doesn't give me the impression as a choker. If he hadn't caught the brunt of the gale force winds during the second round at the Open last year he would have had a very good chance to take home the title.

He played well, but didn't get any results. Take back the bogey on 18 from middle of the fairway, the 2 footer on 11 and if a couple of the putts fell that probably should have then he would be in good shape. All he had to do was shoot a sub par round. The way hes hitting it he can definitely shot a 65 tomorrow which would give him a shot at it.

he needs to shot a 75, which is obviously an extremely tall order, then hope that McIlroy shoots over par and hope that a whole host of other players also screw up.

Tigers putter wasn't that impressive today. Lots of players in between him and the lead.
