The Sharks commentators say the Sharks made an amazing play for icing the puck, then he says that it sucks that they iced it.

Kings played well that period, but Quick gave up a bad goal and the Kings quit when they saw a penalty was coming.

Gonna be amazingly hard to even get back into this game.

SJ is 16-5 when leading after one. Kings are 4-10-2 when trailing.

Where was the other pointman? If there's another guy on the right side, Stoll could have just passed it out to him for a one timer. Well drawn up there Terry!

I don't even care about Smyth's lack of any kind of offense. We all accept the guy is terrible and washed up, it happens to certain guys, they fall off the scoring map. He isn't the first and won't be the last.

It is the defensive liability and total lack of any kind of effort in the defensive zone that makes Smyth an embarrassment. We realize you used to score goals so coaches would look the other way with your lack of effort in the defensive zone, but when you have 2 goals in 30 games you better damn well play in the defensive zone and not give Kyle Wellwood a red carpet escort to the damn goal.

That was as bad a defensive play as you will see an NHL player make. Again it's an embarrassment that a 15 year veteran doesn't even try to play defense.

The Kings have to score at least 3 goals to win. Isn't going to happen.

Just facts. I actually thought SJ would have been better, but their D is suspect. Kings have zero offense, so I don't give the Kings much of a chance. Especially with Quick coughing up shots into the slot.

The Kings haven't won a game this season down 2 goals.

We're a team that plays the game close or jumps on a team early.

Why Quick is on his stomach on the first one is beyond me.. And that rebound to the middle of the ice was brutal. Not a popular opinion on these boards but Quick is partially responsible for both..

At least two to take it to a shootout, that is if they don't allow any further goals from SJ, which is doubtful.

Actually they only need two. Take it to a shootout and roll the dice for the win.

... And it's too bad that there are some people who think that a call-up from Manchester can't replace Smyth, who has done next to zero in the second half of this season. If his name was "Frolov" or "Ponikarovsky", he'd be benched a long time ago but we all know how Terry Murray rolls.

... The Kings win every game in which they've trailed by two after one period, except for the ones they've lost.

The game is not over, I wouldn't short-change the Kings yet.

I don't think anyone has stopped watching, but let's be realistic. The Kings don't have a strong chance at any points tonight. Murray doesn't have a game plan for 2 goal comebacks. Kings will continue to dump and pray.

only kinda saw the 1st goal on a replay, but it looked like the initial shot hits Quicks shoulder, or am i compltely wrong? Its just its pretty hard to control a rebound off your shoulder
