Why can't we just ignore the Bruins, the fact their avatar is inspired by us shows that they think about us too much. If we have an avatar about them, it'll show we care too much about them and it shows that their avatars bothered us. It would be a little pathetic if we did the same thing, we have too much material from our own team to do something on the Bruins.
I like the riot idea actually, and the blame subban one of course. I like the funnier ideas, shows a sense of humor that our fanbase really does have a lot of. Either of those two work for me, and I agree we should put it to a vote as Habs23 mentioned.
Add me to the 'non-trolling' party...I think we should go with a serious theme that revolves around strength through adversity/playing through injuries/team solidarity over individual glory.
Maybe something with the tag-line
Going gets tough
Tough get going
Would reinforce the idea that this is a 'tough' team despite not being particularly 'rough' or 'big' or 'mean' even.
We went with the trolling theme all season long (even last season). It's time to add some seriousness and show what this team is really about. Add some qualities, as stated above, such as "Heart" and so on.
I think we need to start taking ourselves seriously before the rest of the league does.
All of this trolling pseudo/passive-aggressive stuff plays right into the hands of our critics
I am with you. Also I think it's good to have a healthy sense of pride without arrogance. Something like a strong mission statement. The qualities we admire. Our goal as a team. That puts us beyond competition. In victory, we come across as a noble winner. In defeat, we also look good. Trolling makes the defeat worse. And sets you up for crow eating.
Even if we did something with a sense of humor, I would like to have a hint of honor in it. In that case, we could use the size issue. Hobbits maybe? Kinda of a David vs Goliath. Small with heart vs arrogant strength. Plus we do have that Aragorn connection.
