I highly doubt that is the real Patrice Bergeron.

Not his style.

Hah you werent jochen

"Just had one of the best steaks of my life with Steve Downie at the "Chop House" in buffalo."
http://twitter.com/RealStamkos91

Though it makes you wonder, MAB posted at 13 hours ago, while Stamkos posted 11 hours ago.. Well placed tweet for damage control perhaps? Either way, Stamkos gets a gold star for the day. I will not wish great bodily harm to him tonight during the game.

Seriously? It sounds more like he is poking fun at Emerson Etem's comment from the last WJHC...

I think it was pretty obviously a tongue in cheek comment.

The big story here is that Stamkos loves our steak. Trade the whole team for him!

Stamkos has had some very good nights here. Chop House the key?

How is that any different than any other night in his own zone?

I'm more offended that Downie was let into the Chophouse.

Who cares? People get so defensive about these things.

Fact is, visiting players don't get a very flattering impression of the city. The drive between the airport and downtown is kind of depressing. And no, there's not a lot to do in downtown Buffalo on a Monday night.

As someone who has lived in Buffalo for the last 2 years, can I just say I've never understood that arguement. What route do they take, the 90 to the 190? If so, it's not really any different than any other highway that zips you from one end of Buffalo to another. Or if they actually wanted to see Buffalo they could take the 33 to the Scajaquada and hop on Main Street by Canisius College and drive all the way in right through the city. Either way, I don't think the infamous "airport ride" is really the worst impression ever.

It absolutely is.

The players land at BNIA, get on a bus, and ride the 33 all the way downtown. They see all those not so great neighborhoods that border the 33 through the city, get off the expressway, and cut over to the Adam's Mark or one of the other hotels right there.

They don't get to see Elmwood, or the University District, or really much of any of the really good parts of the city proper. If it's not within a 5-10 minute walk of their hotel, they're not seeing it.

On the rare occasion a team comes up to see Niagara Falls, that's not much of a ride either. After Grand Island, they just get on the Robert Moses Parkway down the river, where you see a great view of all the Buffalo Ave chemical plants.

Being in town for 24 hours doesn't really show visiting players what we're all about.

I'd think they would take the 33...seeing as it's right across the street from the airport.

Why did he put 5 exclamation marks in the french version of this tweet? I'm assuming it says the same thing, I can't read french but it looks like he tweets everything in both languages...

I don't know how serious he's being with the tweet, but you can't really blame him for thinking it.
