Boucher said at some point Desjardins will get a chance, I'd expect next weekend Ottawa or New Jersey to be good bet

Guy should let me suit up against New Jersey. Cedrick can handle the Sens.

They should just put a huge fat guy who can skate in between the pipes. Wouldnt be worse than it is now and he would stop a lot of pucks.

Krahn from the Stars is the heaviest in the league currently, and even then that's only 232

The key to our goaltending situation is to go with 4 skaters and 2 goalies between the pipes. That's the highest percentage method, it really is.

Desjardins played decent at times but overall looked a little out of place in the beginning. It was a good thing that the team played well in front of him and kept the Habs to mostly perimeter shots.

They collapsed hard on him tonight. It was like Winston Wolf showing up in pulp fiction to sort **** out, they were back and covering him in a big way.

I don't see how you couldn't play the guy again after last night.

Bad decision, IMO. I know I'm a Habs fan, so I don't know what you guys have dealt with.. but Desjardins is the real deal.

Well, it's not like we've traded away Desjardins. Roloson is an instant upgrade over Smith and Ellis and far more experienced than Desjardins. CD played great in the two games he got to play but let's not get over-excited here. It won't hurt him to go back to Norfolk with all the confidence he gained here in Tampa. Also, he's not the guy I would like to have to rely on in the playoffs (knock on wood) but Roloson most definitely is.

Yea, in the playoffs and games like Washington and Pittsburgh are games where having Roloson is an advantage to us and not an achilles heal to us like it is with Smellis or a rookie netminder.

I'm ecstatic about Desjardins as anyone but some AHL time with this new confidence might do him some real good. If Ellis sucks as backup to Roloson, wouldn't surprise me to see CD here again either.

Can anything good come out of the NYI team? Especially at 41!

What I find amusing is that TB now finds themselves in a position of strength when it comes to moving a goalie.

Does Desjardins go down immediately or does it get starts until he has a bad one? He certainly seems better than Ellis or Smith thus far, but as a straight back-up Ellis could do the job (poorly, but he could do the job).

He's going back down now.
