Kulemin's shot was basically Ovechkin's patented crossover/screen move. Neuvy has struggle, but that was no beachball.

Not sure it's close. Stamkos can't match Ovi's pace and accuracy. He also needs a bunch of space, unlike Ovi. That's what seperates them IMO. Notice how Stamkos hasn't done squat in months since teams have shifted their PK to taking away his space.

hannan is just as slow as when he got here. he's slow. he's just smaller than schultz which helps him look quicker.

our defensmen are getting beat to the puck and are allowing semi breakaways, our d looks especially slow

The offense looks good, but Neuvy and the D fighting the puck recently making me uncomfortable.

the only d in the lineup that dont fight the puck as a part of their basic game are carlson alzner and schultz. i havent seen them fighting it. the problem is the other three and the larger than usual percentage of those players in the game

Speaking of Collins, he has been an adequate 3rd pairer so far. Significant upgrade over Sloan.

alzner's been struggling a bit lately. they kids are just playing a ton of minutes with the injuries so everyone on D looks to be a little pressed. it's on the forwards to provide really strong support, backcheck hard, and spend as much time as possible playing offense.

neuvy definitely not playing up to his usual game, but if they can overcome the D injuries now, it's even better prep for the POs
