Boucher is probably a very good AHL goalie too or a barely adequate backup.... Only the Flyers believe in him and I don't know why... Maybe cause It's fun for the fans to cheer the "Boosh" when he make a save I guess...

No one wanted Leighton for 750k next year? No one? I don't like Leighton, but I'd love him for that price tag to back up. Weird.

Well, great. This helps us. Maybe. More likely it just shakes the confidence of our current goalies and gives another guy an opportunity to get rocked when our D leaves guys wide open.

Buff,

Boucher played quite well in SJ before coming here... and has played well for this team all year. Not sure why you're ragging on him.

Best case scenario.

Still a dumb move to try.

Boosh has been MORE than adequate as a backup. Actually, as a backup goalie, he posted the NHL record for consecutive shutouts while in Phoenix. He's a better backup than Leighton, and definitely more talented. Like Leighton, he absolutely shouldn't be a full time starter.

"Leighton should start every playoff game. Also get Mike Richard's C"
"Please Michael Leighton - save this team. Thank you."
"oh jesus tap dancing christ thank the effing lord. michael leighton is a flyer "
"Flyers officially recall their playoff goaltender/savior/try-to-strike-gold-yet-again, Mike Leighton."

The reactions on the Flyers facebook page are hilarious.
People act like he's the second coming of Jacques ****in Plante and he'll backstop us on his own to the cup.

So, do we have to make a corresponding move cap-wise? Sending Holmstrom down enough?

Boucher's been good all year, dude. He's also proven elsewhere he's a capable backup, and that he has the ability to go on very, very hot runs at times. You probably thought Biron sucked when here, too.

7 years ago. Besides that, he has also played very well in SJ before coming here, and he has played very well here. He also has a reasonable cap hit, unlike MFL.

Pretty sure he's stuck in the NHL since he's about to get suspended.
