So, as another 'meh' season for the Wild winds down, and we look for the little things to appreciate in our favorite team - which is the most likely to happen tonight ?

Mittens buries all his chances leading us to re-sign him.

I'll just go ahead and make this the gameday.

It feels like a 2 goal game for Mittens, though...

I was serious on my Butch reply though. Defensemen aren't dumb enough to let him skate the puck in deep because he would burn the hell out of them. I mean, one of a few things happen when you get the puck into the O zone anyway:

- dump it into the corner and chase
- dump it into the corner and change
- carry the puck in and stop short to wait for your linemates
- carry the puck in and try to carry it deep and get hit (possible turnover)
- carry the puck in and try to dangle the defenseman (possible turnover)
- carry the puck in with your linemate on a rush and make a pass
- carry the puck in and shoot from the top of the circles (possible turnover and low scoring chance)

A tough call, but I'm going with Mittens going 1 for 1. I think Bouchard might be worried about Burrows trailing looking for him when he circles back, so he may venture a bit deeper than normal

And I'm not a PMB hater at all. Actually, I'm a lot higher him than I was a couple years ago. He's one of the few guys that opposing D's seem to respect as being able to beat them and the space that buys gives him more time to make a play/pass.

Truthiness.

Oh well, we're not exactly known for our expansive and informative GDT's here on HF Wild anyway.

Hey Fel, Thats a sweet looking Avi! Nice work!

As for the Wild, I really hope the Canucks dont take the aggression of back to back loses to the oilers out on our poor Aero's...

As much as I want to say that the kids will look good tonight & give a relaxing Vancouver team a hell of a show, I can also totally picture Vancouver just tearing us apart.. Either way it doesnt really matter... Maybe I'll wear my Canucks jersey tonight as like a revearse mojo thing.. haha

I'm most excited about next season for the Islanders, I have a feeling they are just going to be insanely good!! I can't wait!! Oh & go wild too I guess (i'm saving my excitement for the wild until 2013-2014. Maybe 2012-2013 if we see some solid changes next season.

But as of now there is no light at the end of the tunnel for the Wild yet so I'm going to quit walking into the darkness for a while & sit down & take a break instead...

I actually voted for Butch in the poll... not because of hate... but because that actually happens on a regular basis now!
